This is an option, its when truancy gets to the point that the student is going to be taken to juvenile detention. I would much rather see the kids restricted to their own home and school rather than sent to kiddy jail. The environment there is NOT going to help them much. If anything, its going to further warp their view of authority and government and they will be worse coming out than they were going in.
As someone born, raised, and schooled in Dallas, I'm 100% supportive of this program.
Well, Ive got an AMD x2 brisbane at 2788mhz thats got let see... 622 hours uptime. Of course, thats because I dropped an ATI HD3870 in it few weeks ago. Otherwise It would be higher.
Oh, might also mention for you other doubters, Im running a nearly silent zalman cpu cooler. The only thing you hear in the case is the pair of seagate hard disks.
Ive been gaming, capturing audio(I record my own music), encoding video and audio, watching movies, downloading things.. If that's not stable enough for you, you have problems.
Um, with overclocking utilities distro'd by nearly every motherboard manufacturer, anyone with a minimal ability to click the "auto overclock" button can up their system bus and get a few extra clocks. Why pay for the highest clocked processor when you can get the exact same core(and performance) with the cheaper one?
But, on topic, this really isn't all the surprising. Pretty much any email server can be used as a relay in this manner, the only thing special here is that it avoids Google's current features. I expect Google will have this locked down very soon.
Ive been a sprint customer for the last 6 years. Their phones(if you get the right ones, ie sanyo) are unmatched in quality and durability. Their service people usually know what they are doing, and if they do make a mistake, they trip all over themselves trying to make it up to you.
Ive been using google apps on my sanyo phone for a while, but it will finally be nice to see sprint support them, even ship them on the phones.
It boils down to trade liberty for security. I'm in no way condoning their actions, but its human nature to "cheat" or "lie" just a little for the better good. However, in this case, its affecting more people that most realize.
I love that people describe CoD, Crysis and Battlefield as "realistic" games.
What the hell is realistic about any of them? Just because they aren't a methamphetamine induced hyper-kill-fest doesn't mean they don't require fast reflexes and accurate movements.
Its amusing how many of the claims or stipulations in these modern EULA's are unenforceable because the waive the rights of the customer in many states.
Its analogous to a car manufacturer suing a customer because they rebuilt the engine using aftermarket parts for greater performance. Absolutely absurd.
Hey, wasnt vista going to be "new from the ground up"? Shame its the same OS they released years ago called NT 4...
Honestly, Windows 2000 was the last major advancement in the OS IMHO. XP and Vista have just added bloatware and problems, and their so called features could have been added to 2000 just as easily.
Lets see some numbers to back up those claims eh smarty pants?
Anyways, Vista may be "the 2nd most used OS in the world for desktop PC's", but how bout we compare its lifespan to ANY other OS release. I would still be using Windows 2000 if there werent a few select applications(mainly games) that I cant trick into running on it. I know there are several others out there who are the same.
People buy into the bullshit marketing. Its not that the product has merit, its that they are foolish enough to believe the promises made. How many millions of people buy those weight loss supplements, or male enhancement supplements? Because there are lots of people using something doesn't mean its a quality product.
There is going to have to be a very accurate system of "disabling tracking". I mean, take the FPS example. How often am I going to be spinning around when I glance down for a quick ammo count?
Or, if you look up to check your HP/MP in an MMO, will you be randomly changing targets, or worse, disengaging them to move?
Its an interesting idea, definitely useful for somethings, but it shouldn't ever take the place of a mechanical pointing device like a mouse or trackball.

Yeah, Im running sp3 on my RISC system with no problems whatsoever.
Thats what all you fanboy AMD and Intel people deserve.

Nice illustration. Hits the nail on the head.
+1 insightful

Everyone knows wikipedia is run by a bunch of mac fanboys, so you really cant trust that information.
Microsoft "Commissioned" MS-DOS, they didnt "Buy it". Everyone knows that.
And Windows 11 will be coming out in 2010. Thats going to really kill Apple.
Apparently, no one here cares:P

Oh I can see the pranks now..
"But Mom! I swear it was johnny and the gang that zapped me as a bad driver! It was a joke!"
Seconded. Dont bother with the articles, they dont have any more information than the summary.
Why cant we go back to web 1.0? I actually liked being able to find information with a google search instead of using this tagging bullshit.

Wise words. Don't know why you were modded flamebait. Completely on topic considering parent.

My mom always called that "selective hearing". Apparently, all the men in the family suffer from it severely.

You cant remap your keyboard? What, are you some kind of windows user?
Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't CoD4 support it?

Im heading out there for vacation in October. Here's hoping they allow test drives :)
Probably someone who actually knows what simulation means.
Simulation is something which simulates a system or environment in order to predict actual behavior.
To speculate on the other hand is to make an inference based on inconclusive evidence; to surmise or conjecture.
So, he was indeed insightful when he stated that the lack of understanding would render the results speculative at best.

Right, because an intel core 2 duo performs differently when placed in a mac case...
Apple lost that claim when they moved to intel chips.
