Vinyl is only greater quality the first time it's run, afterwhich, the needle has changed the medium ever so slightly. Granted I doubt even a golden ear couldn't hear the difference the second or third time through, but it builds up over time played.
My Karma is regularly in my pocket or a belt pouch when I cycle to work, usually playing away. I've had it for 9 months now and no major problems, even dropped it on the floor once (eeeeek!) but managed to cushion it fall with my foot.
> it seems fairly clear cut from a legal > purspective that the OP got everything > Blizzard sells in the store
Not quite. Blizzard sells the right to use the included CD key in the version that comes from stores. Apparently this right is removed from used copies.

About two months ago, a small news article appeared on a local news website for the community I used to live in.
------ eBay Coming To Vernon? As many as 400 people are expected to find jobs with a call centre in Vernon.
Officials are not exactly saying who the employer is but it is believed to be Internet Auction giant eBay.
A job fair for prospective employees of the call centre will be held at the OUC Kalamalka Campus next Thursday and Friday, starting at 11:00am.
About 100 employees will start a month of training as early as next weekend in preparation for the opening of the call centre. --------
So, no, no outsourcing to India. Looks like they're going to Vernon BC Canada
Wasn't it about 2.5 years ago when nVidia released the GeForce2 and their press release included the statement "Achieving Pixar-level animation in real-time has been an industry dream for years," explains Jen-Hsun Huang, president and CEO at NVIDIA. "With twice the performance of the GeForce 256 and per-pixel shading technology, the GeForce2 GTS is a major step toward achieving that goal."
This statement was later refuted by various partisans of high-end animations tools, such as Tom Duff of Pixar, who said;
---------------------
`Pixar-level animation' runs about 8 hundred thousand times slower than real-time on our renderfarm cpus. (I'm guessing. There's about 1000 cpus in the renderfarm and I guess we could produce all the frames in TS2 in about 50 days of renderfarm time. That comes to 1.2 million cpu hours for a 1.5 hour movie. That lags real time by a factor of 800,000.)
Do you really believe that their toy is a million times faster than one of the cpus on our Ultra Sparc servers? What's the chance that we wouldn't put one of these babies on every desk in the building? They cost a couple of hundred bucks, right? Why hasn't NVIDIA tried to give us a carton of these things? -- think of the publicity milage [sic] they could get out of it!
---------------------
So when is Pixar due to refute this new statement, that the PS3 will provide graphics indistinguishable from movies.
Ahh, well yeah it was in theatres, I remember seeing it at a drive-through as a double feature with a Kiss Movie. Of course I was like 7 at the time so Kiss didn't mean a whole hell of a lot except they were the wierd guys that painted their faces and screamed a lot:)
Well damn, there goes my arguement. I wasn't able to find a page that said it had been passed in MA. Only that they had a proposed one that was set to go before the powers that be at some point in 2004.
The question is whether or not Massachusetts has some version of this act. If they don't. personally, I don't think Apple has a leg to stand on. Granted IANAL, but if you live in one state and do something in that state that is legal there, but not legal in another state, should someone in that other state be able to go after you in a court of law? For example, marijuana. In some states it's legal for medical use, where as in others it's completely illegal for all uses (be it misdemeanor or felony isn't totally relevant). If Joe in state A is allowed to have it for his glaucoma, should Frank in state B be allowed to sue Joe because he can smoke weed but Frank can't according to state B's laws?
True, but atleast you can play it without being online. Once you've authenticated you're home free whether or not steam still exists. Furthermore you can back up your various 'purchases' to cd / dvd The Phantom requires it's network to function and you can't get jack off of it.
Before you comment, you should understand how the Phantom is intended to work. It won't have a cd-rom / dvd-rom drive, instead all games will be purchased via the as yet immaterial phantom gaming network, also known as the Black Knight network (or something like that). The games will then be streamed to your consoles internal hdd where the intent is that you can begin playing the game before it's fully downloaded. With no way to remove items from the HDD, eventually some of the games you 'bought' will have to be downloaded again as they will have been deleted and replaced by something else. Furthermore, should Infinium manage to actually bring a product to market and then fold, you have a console and games you've purchased but can't play since the network is required (no offline mode like steam has), not that steam is necessarily superior but atleast you can play games you've downloaded such as HL2 in offline mode.
Sorry, the tsunami didn't effect me and maybe I'm just a cold, calloused bastard, but I'm not giving any of my meager savings to any relief fund for it.
Didn't effect you? How about when that area becomes a hotbed of all manner of communicable diseases which will rather quickly circumnavigate the globe. This disaster effects EVERYONE. Maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow, but eventually you'll feel some form of effect from it.
Not to mention that the vast majority of those that were killed by the crusaders were christians themselves. The crusaders were just a rather large group of thugs looking for loot, guess who had the most of it:)
Have you never gotten a check from the gov't? I know they're rare, but they do happen ;)
> make anything but gold and silver coin a tender in payment of debts
Hmm, I don't recall getting gold or silver the last time I cashed my pay check.

From what I understand, he wrote most of the script, and it was finished off after he died.
Maybe you should look into some 64bit drivers for your sata drives.
You can look here, they used to have 64bit Sata drivers for the K8V SE Deluxe.
iRiver + Water, hmm, rivers have water in them don't they? ;)

Except your analogy is flawed in this case. It's not the registration (account) that is being transfered, but the vehicles VIN (cd-key).

Does anyone use the v-chip? Just because it's in the TV doesn't make it a success for the public.

Sounds like a prime use of the Freedom of Information Act. Please let me see the source code to Carnivore
Uhh since when? Maybe it was an enormously limited release but I sure didn't see it in my neck of the woods (Kelowna BC).

my god, that explains Japanese teenagers :)
I've done the same thing, with much better results than you, only 38 messages since the 3rd of december
