If this console RPG they're making is as good as Rise of Nations was, then hot damn, should be good.
I just wish the rest of the RTS people liked it.:[
You're not going to get money out of the ISS unless you've either got a low gravity mint up there, or are growing hydroponic money trees, both unlikely.
The community I was referring to was the Linux community, but apparently they're the same thing?
Well, that complicates things.
moves back to square one. does not pass go. etc. etc.
NOTE: The following is over simplified.
Path One: Continue squandering in its free software jihad, ignoring reality, and getting nowhere on making Ubuntu user friendly.
Path Two: Drop the damn jihad and make things work easier for non-geeks.
The whole aversion to anything proprietary shows where the community's concern is, and it's not at making Linux easier to use or making it more accessible to normal desktop users.
Sonic 3 & Knuckles was the pinnacle of what Sonic could be, IMO. It had the best music (thanks possibly to Michael Jackson...look it up on Wikipedia!) the best levels, and a great variety in gameplay.
Frankly, They just need to make a psuedo-3D sonic game with some RPG-ish elements. The paths between various locations in the world would be a bunch of branching pathways made in the old 2D style way of level making.
Just make Sonic 4 for god's sake, and undo the last 10 years of furry shit.
Buy a Lite Brite, make the image on it an American Flag, attach a battery so it can run by itself, and plop it in front of the fence at the White House.
Are you being sarcastic, or serious? Frankly this game looks like it would be best on PC, having a full mouse and keyboard to use.
I mean, it'd be like playing Sim City 2000 on a console...it's fully featured, but still gimped.
I've been told that it takes a larger HDTV (We're talking 50+ inches) to even see a noticeable difference between 720p and 1080p at normal viewing distances.
Perhaps my love of MMOs is as much related to the opportunity to explore and adventure on my own as any actual construction of gameplay.'"
Wait, there's MMORPGs where you can solo? The whole game?
Funny how he doesn't name the MMO he's talking about, because it likely doesn't exist. Eventually, you're forced to group.:[
The fact that Ubuntu is BASIC is why it's so great. Normal people don't want to tweak shit and work with the console/terminal and all that crap. We want to be able to browse the web, type a paper, send some e-mail, and instant message, and damnit, we want to do it "out of the box," as in right after the install is done. We don't give a shit about your free software jihad and your extreme phobias of running non-free/proprietary software. We want an operating system that simply works.
New York City != the entire nation
I've not heard of any iPod-using kids getting hit by cars anywhere in my entire region. (Midwest)
Hyperbole, or New Yorker attitude? To quote Tom the newsguy from Family Guy, "I believe I speak for all of us when I say that everyone from New York can fornicate themselves with an iron stick."

you'll always end up with a whit person, a black person, an asian, and a gimped whitey in a wheelchair.

Well, how many players do you think posted on those forums that DIDN'T have any problems? Happy gamers are too busy gaming to post at message boards.
