    Yep, I have compiled Java with 3.1 (using the 2.95 comipiled one first of course.)

    You will need a patch to compile Java too, read here for directions:

    Also, you CAN get flash to work, there's a post in gentoo's message boards on how to do this:

    Abosultly true. They take forever to take off though.. I had some in my front yard one day (I live in the country.), and watched one try to fly over the road. Took about 50 feet for it to finally get up..

    Not sure of the actaully value to poke into 59458, but for all who don't understand, this said poke command would FRY a Commodore PET machine. As in smokey-melt-down.

    But have they fixed this bug??

    This is a showstopper for me. Turning compression off does not solve the problem for me. I ended up using some patch off the mailing list temporarily.

    How congress will will react when they realize that they have outlawed one of the most widely used devices in the world. Used in virtually all electical/mechanical industies. The simplest A/D converter of them all.

    The Switch. (otherwise know as The Button).

    I don't even want to get started on the number of uses that a switch has. It would literaly put the US into the middleages (and maybe earlier. cadapult triggers could be a form of switch.)

    I've always wondered about that too, and came up with a simple, probably very wrong idea/solution as to why..

    When you break, the poeple and other objects in the car go forward, just as you stated.. That forward movement causes alot of air to be moved, rushing toward the --back-- of the car. The ballon is just caught up in the wind..

    I don't think this is totally useless.. Everyone is saying that you would have to reboot to change the routing info. I say that can be fixed... Add in the khttpd, add some extra features to it to process form on particular pages, to interact with the routing tables. Voila, you have modifiable routes. The only problem I can see is that doesn't khttpd require a filesystem (ram or otherwise?)..

    Overall I see that this could have several uses, not just for routing. You would just have to write a kernel module that could do the task that you want. Could be interesting for embedded systems.
