    VML = only on IE5+

    SVG = on any browser with a plugin.

    Let's try that one again, just in case your brain hasn't quite wrapped itself around it.

    VML = not everyone.

    SVG = everyone.

    Get it yet?

    They're only going after people who share songs. So don't share anything, just download. "Leech", if you will.

    I've been doing this ever since Napster caved to Lars' demands and banned my username for sharing a Metallica song. (Seems like ages ago.) Before that, I was all for 'helping the community' and all that, sharing everything I had. After that, fuck 'em. There's enough other people who will still be sharing.

    Of course if *everyone* stopped sharing, it wouldn't work. But don't worry, not everyone will. There will always be someone else.

    Well, there will always be someone else until the RIAA sues them all out of existence. But it won't be you. Self preservation, right?

    everyone who trades live shows of the artists I listen to uses SHN, period. as with "Ogg Vorbis" (that's the name, right?), the only place I've ever heard of FLAC is on Slashdot.

    I can buy an Xbox or PS2 already, and they provide better gaming experiences.

    Or you could buy a Gamecube, and it would provide a better gaming experience then either of those. ;)

    (I know, I know, different strokes and all that. :) )

    Though I'll more or less stick with my computer... you won't be seeing the next Warcraft III or Rise of Nations on a console any time soon.

    True, their newer albums aren't quite as good as the ones from the 70's and 80's

    Eh, _Vapor Trails_ is one of my favorite Rush albums, I would put it ahead of all the 70s stuff.

    That's assuming Permenant Waves came out in the 80s. I think it did. It might have been 79.

    Okay, so I'd put VT ahead of everything they did pre-PeW. *shrug*

    Hi, I'm Blimey85. I used to buy cars, and at several thousand dollars each, when I could only drive them for a few years, it was just getting to be too much money. So after seeing Gone in 60 Seconds, now I just steal cars! I save a couple grand a year at least, and if I don't like the car, I can just dump it somewhere and steal a different one!

    Tengwar is the alphabet.. you don't speak it, you write it.

    You can write anything in Tengwar... even English.. but the two main Elvish languages are Quenya and Sindarin.

    I remember that, I was very excited about it, I never got into the MMORPGs, but I would have loved that one.

    But this new one will probably be just the same as all the others. Too bad. Plus in the intervening years I've decided that online gamers are, as a whole, too stupid and annoying to ever get a good MMORPG to work. So I probably won't do this one either.

    I'm not being insulting, but it's my experience that whenever people say they're too "busy", it just means they don't want to put in the effort.

    Which is fine, I still use QWERTY, I don't really want to put in the effort to learn Dvorak either. But you should at least admit to the real reason.

    What the hell? I'm a college student too, and it's a lot *easier* to do absantee ballots. You don't even have to *go* anywhere, they send you the form in the mail, you can fill it out whenever you want, and send it back. If you were at home, you have to take time out sometime from 9-5 and go someplace specific. Give me the mail in votes any day.
