    i humbly submit this isn't possible anymore. all of the historical advances made by hobbyists were done decades ago, involving simple concepts. all advances today are not simple, but require the support of an advanced facility, simply because all of the fundamental, simple advances in chemistry have already been scoured

    As the head of the patent office (supposedly) said in 1899, "Everything that can be invented has been invented."

    Since you are apparently concerned: I had no idea it was in Shrek. I knew it was originally written by Cohen, and I also think Buckley's version is the best. :)

    Here I figured "Windows 7" actually made sense. But if the kernel is only 6.1, then never mind. Don't know why I would assume MS would do something that made sense.

    95 = 4.0
    98 = 4.1
    ME = 4.9
    2000 = 5.0
    XP = 5.1
    Vista = 6.0

    So I assumed if they're calling it "Windows 7", that this was going to be 7.0. Oh well.

    They mention Abort, Retry, Fail as somehow more memorable than the original Abort, Retry, Ignore, which I'd disagree with.

    I seem to remember a few times getting all four: Abort, Retry, Ignore, Fail. Ah, DOS.

    That's only if you consider "designer clothes" to be "good taste", which a fair amount of people would not.

    But I suppose that's true for anything. So I guess the goal is to appeal to other people who also like designer clothes, in the same way that a case mod making your computer look like the Death Star appeals to people who like Star Wars and case mods.
