    It's also to prevent pirated copies of Windows and the cracks that essentially do hijack the boot process to make that copy of Windows appear valid.

    But this year I spent my day on Windows playing Civilization 5 which I bought on Steam. Not very Free Software friendly.

    As soon as you add friends to your circles, or your friends add you to their circles, then they will be able to determine enough about you by inference.
