for Piro to get some more rest as the server is gonna be going a lot slower now due to./:) Too bad for the MT fans tho since now we'll have to wait even longer for the update on thurs.:/
AFAIK Minidiscs dont have a problem with magnets. I've recorded some minidiscs and then set them next to magnets and they've been fine. And in my own personal opinion, minidiscs look a heck of a lot cooler then cd's.
The DJ's on the station I listen to actually say the song name and artist either before or after the track and then dont talk/cut out the song until it's faded away! I'm amazed at that. It means a few seconds less time of listening to themselves talk. Of course it's a station that students mainly listen to so they probably bitched which made the station adopt that practice.
Heck, I'm saying that out loud:) I liked the jello scene. Just because it didn't completally go with the ST "image" doesn't mean it was bad in some way.
Personally I think it would've been funny if he came back and something was wrong/missing. Like if the transporter brought back pieces of the metal deck he was running on still attached to his shoes.
I have a dell inspiron 5000. It's very nice with a 15" 1400x1050 res screen. As far as the things that I want to get, it goes: Screen (res + size), Proc speed, ram, HD, vid card. Most people won't be using their laptop for games anyway, so a powerful video card wouldn't be very useful.
The noise of a water pump is usually pretty loud unless you buy a really expensive one. All in all, water's great for cooling but not so great for noise.
Putting ads in football games/racing games/etc... would be fine with me, because now days, most stadiums are covered with ads, and race cars look like rolling road advertisements. However, if they start cramming ads into games like EQ, neverwinter nights, etc... I'm gonna be angry. I don't want to have to look at ads while I'm playing. I want to enjoy the game. And if they have banner ads in ANY game, I'm gonna be really pissed.
Perhaps you didn't understand me. The content of his/yours post was childish as is your attitude. And I'm not even going to bother with you anymore. You're too low a form of life for me to waste time on.
Yours is a good idea but they would have to rewrite their software to be compatable with PC's hardware/software. Their box allows them to have hardware and software they know which allows them to write games they know will play on it. I'm of course assuming that they will write more software after releasing this thing.
Another point about the PC thingie. Many people still dont have a broadband connection. This means that those people won't buy the service. It makes perfect sense from a (ewww) marketing point of view.
Also, many people wouldnt have fast and powerful pc's that are capable of things such as quake 3. Thats why they bought the dreamcast/playstation/whatever. So, again, providing their own box is a cheaper alternative to a PC and it means more people will sign up, hence more money for sega which is good.
No one ever said that this site was to be unbiased. Thats what makes this site good. They use their judgement to post items that have a general interest in the community. They never said they were a "real" news site. The just post things that count as news for nerds. Not news for the entire world. If you want "real" news go read CNN or the newspaper. And about the Anti-Microsoft "agenda". This site is a site that is based on Linux, Not windows. If they want to promote anti-microsoft they can. They can promote anti-anything if they want to. It's called freedom of speech. If you don't want to hear it go somewhere else.
But it wouldnt be a "new" color. The color has always been there, we just haven't been able to detect it. It's like scientists discovering neutrons and protons and claiming they were new. Not new, but simply detected.
In the past everyone in the european world knew, not believed, knew that the world was flat. Were they wrong? Yes, but they believed themselves to be right. If they had stated that the world was round then they would have been "wrong" according to their time and the beliefs of everyone around them. I'm not saying that the fifty million people that voted for Bush are wrong. He might in fact be a great president. I'm just saying that it is possible that even fifty million people can be wrong.
On the dropping out of college thing. College doesn't stand for as much as it used to. People don't go to college and are still making over $60,000 a year. Bill Gates also dropped out of college and he's the richest man in the world. College is a place to learn, but only if the teachers have something worth learning.
Also. People have a right to express their views, even if someone else thinks they're wrong. It doesn't matter if that someone is one person or fifty million. If you don't agree, fine, state your view but do not suggest that they add something that would only be of use to one person.

Umm. You got it backwards. Napster is in beta. Scour was out of beta a long time ago. Scour used to be web based where you'd download a file through their little program. It was too annoying so they developed scour exchange.

Transmit it in AM (or whatever freq you can do this in) and bounce it off the atmosphere all around the planet :)
A whole lotta cable :)
Too bad bandwidth through power lines hasn't come out yet. It probably woulda come in handy now.

She looks cuter with short hair :)
If people were better drivers this wouldn't even be a factor in buying suv's.
Every time they want to test a security update they try it on hotmail first to see if it works :)
Oops. Looks like hotmail'ss been cracked. Better not release our 700000th security update.

Bah. I wish I got the sci-fi channel at school. I'm missing out on some great shows :(

Wouldnt really matter anyway because we took the nitrogen from the atmosphere so it's not like we're putting anything bad back into it.

Hopefully their idea will be a one-time purshase. You buy it, download it, and keep it as long as you want, playing it as much as you want.

Man how childish you are. It is sad that slashdot has people like you posting to it. Go back and play in your sandbox.

Heh anyone else notice that the color lights in the X-Box are green? Microsoft is going to asimilate the gaming market (probably not though)
