  1. Re:Immature and Gun Happy on Hunters Shot Down Google Fiber · · Score: 1

Guerrilla warfare is largely how America won it's independence. While the British were fighting in"proper form" by standing in disciplined firing lines in the open, American rebels were hiding in the woods, taking cover, making sneak attacks etc.
A foreign army stands little chance against a local, native occupying force. Americans knew the land and climate much better than the British. They could hide out virtually anywere, and get food and supplies easily. The British had to conquer and occupy a town before they could have some kind of base.
The same is true Vietnamese and Iraqis. You enter a town and you don't know if the occupants are friend or foe.
The only real way to defeat an occupying force is go medieval (literally, like the Crusades) and slaughter every person and destroy every town until either every one who opposes you is gone, or the give up and join you.
It's ugly and awful, but it's how you win.

Step 4: Enjoy your new PC, without vendor crap ware, and a full copy of the OS disk your are entitled to that can be used to rebuild the box if something goes awry.

I think most average computer users can probably install Windows 7. If they are able to install all the free "toolbars" and crap that junk up their machines in the first place, the default install of Win7 is probably with in their abilities. There are few options to choose and it walks you through pretty easily.
I think Ubuntu is actually fewer steps than Windows to install. Can't speak for Apple.

Not being given a copy of this OS is just wrong in my opinion. Oh well, my $0.02

I don't think the PIN has anything to do with this. The PIN probably just locks the UI in the phone. That would be like pulling a hard drive out of one computer and adding to another and expecting the usernames and passwords to still work. You'll be able to mount the drive and access every part of the file system because the OS that governs access to that filesystem is not running. The drive is just being viewed by another computer.
If the filesystem was encrypted, I imagine you'd could still mount the drive, but the contents wouldn't be viewable.

What we need to do is stop bombarding kids with constant streams of electronic entertainment.
If a kid always has a screen with moving pictures (be it a dvd player, game or whatever) in front of his face, how do you expect them to sit still when you take it away. It like digital crack.
Yes, kids can be a pain - but part of being a parent is dealing with those situations by interacting with them in a positive way.
I'm not saying no TV ever, but people wonder why kids have attention deficit disorder. I'm sure most of those kids can hold their attention perfectly fine when it's focused on a TV. How is a teacher supposed to teach a class when most of the kids are used to constant electronic entertainment?

I'll have to put some text in an "About" section.
Anyway, OGP is a game server control panel. It uses a web interface that controls an agent running on the server hosting your games.
It is used to start/stop/monitor game server instances. More features like a config file editor are coming soon.
It allows users to administer a game server without having shell access.
Panel admins can lock down various features to users, like limit which IPs or ports can be used for each game.
Games can be assigned a specific cpu priority (with nice) and on multi cpu boxes, a game can be assigned to a specific CPU.
If the server is rebooted, the agent will restart the game servers that were running when the reboot occured.
Thanks for pointing out my foolish oversight of the most basic information :0 (duh on my part)
I hope you give it a try and find it useful
