I disagree with you wholly and completely %100 with you notion and belief in 'everyone being influenced by something'. True, pure originality does exist in the universe. Everything that exists now exists because at some point in history a truly unique and original thought was created in the mind of a man/woman that was wholly and completely uninfluenced by even one single outside factor. Uniqueness in genius is a fact. As a Pure Mathematician I wholly understand and believe that pure, true, uninfluenced originalty exists. When a new mathematical idea, something never, ever before thought of or imagined appears upon the world, no one ever worries as to how it came about. True genius is never copied and never derived from something else. As an influence in the world, every single idea, thought, belief, art form, dream had to have one single, original, externally unaffected and uninfluenced beginning. At the Doctoral level (Ph. D) of Mathematics pure original thought becomes artform. Dreams become reality. Pure, unifluenced, original dreams. True originality does exist. A true genius is never unoriginal. There are always ideas and dreams and genius that are not just a ripoff of another idea. There are existences in nature which are truly original, truly unique, and truly never imagined or dreamed of or contrived of before in the history of all mankind...and the universe. These are true genius. True originality. And are true beginning. If originality was never unique or original in its essence, we would all still be in caves. Someone, somewhere will dream a dream or think a thought never, ever before imagined. And these are the true changers of the world. Influence doesn't have to be obvious when it is completely original and truly unique in the world. I am sorry for people who feel as you do.

Hello, Earth to teenager. Poeple/countries now *help* each other in times of need. Why does the United States give *billions* of dollars to Russia for humanitarian aid, military, economic strengh, and about 100 other purposes? Let that little bit of knowledge confuse you for a moment. Why not just let Russia waste away into an archaic wastland..."Hey, Look Bob, no more Russia...We are all safe, no more WWIII...Oh shit, they just sold all of their nukes to Osama Bin Ladin to feed their families?...Why didn't we help them when they needed food?..." It is called the nature of the human spirit and just simply goodwill politics. Why do we give the Afghans food at the same time we bomb them? Because the Afghans aren't the problem. It is a few people in power that are the true cause for harm. By your philosophy, we should just carpet bomb the entire country until every Afghan is killed. Okay, so what if Bin Laden is not even *in* Afghanistan right now? Millions of innocent people would die. We would be no better than the terrorists. But, if we help the *people* of Afghanistan to eat, cloth, and sustain their families through aid relief, then the *people* of Afghanistan will take care of the Taliban and Bin Laden *for us*. It is called the human spirit and goodwill politics.
Plus, since you don't know, or haven't taken a real World Civilization course in your life, Russia/USSR saved most of Europe's ass in WWII. They only lost more people in WWII than all of the other countries combined...by a huge margin. The reason for the cold war was that the USSR never wanted to be tricked and lied to by anyone ever again (read: Hitler and his non-aggression pact with Stalin) and after Stalin signed his pact with Hitler, Hitler turned around almost instantly and tried to kill everyone in the USSR and take it over as well as all of Europe. After that and WWII, the USSR became self sufficient and untrusting. Not that the *USSR* couldn't be trusted...but the USSR *couldn't* trust the rest of the world to not lie to them again about any sort of non-aggression treaty. Simple human defense mechanism. The reason for the Cold War is 100% American ignorance and paranoia. Ever heard of the "Red Scare"? Why not pick up a real History book and educate yourself. No one in Western Europe has ill feelings towards Russia. You write your post like an idiot. Plus, WWIII...There was/is a list? As far as I and everyone else in the world knows, WWIII will be the last war ever fought on the entire planet. No country will survive. Do you think you are invincible to radiation and nuclear winter? If you do, you *really* are funny.
PS-We are doing the same thing to China that we did to the USSR after WWII, in case you are wondering. The Chinese? They've been there for 10,000 years (literally)...Why do we all of a sudden give a shit now?...I can gaurantee you they don't give a shit about us. Why would they? I don't agree with you at all. I have also studied college philosohy, and while your comments are mostly-->somewhat correct you are forgetting one thing. Education and intelligence can change an intelligent lifeform. Let's say that Israeli and Palestinian children grow up their entire lives since birth believing that the other one should die. This would be a "fundamental axiom" from both people that killing the other one is "morally" correct. Through education and intelligence, these two children can grow up and change how they feel towards each other. Only through blind ignorance can an intelligent lifeform continue to believe one and only one thing. Does the US still have slavery? It was perfectly okay at one point in time. But, through intelligent thinking, compassion, and education people began to understand how slavery was wrong and changed and their "funadmental axioms" were changed. Do you understand?
There is a difference between logic and intelligence. Their is also a difference between the ability to think and the ability to simply function on 1 and 0. The world is not black and white. Life is mostly a lot of black, a lot of white, and certainly a lot of gray, and at times all different and beautiful colors. If an artifical lifeform was ever created, it would have to be able to think on its own. It would have to be able to change or delete its entire orginal programming whenever it felt that it needed to learn or change how it thinks. I tend to change a little bit each time I learn something new. AI is not a machine, but an attempt at a lifeform. Although your arguments are fairly good, I don't think you understand the principle of life and its role in AI. Could a system be considered "intelligent" if it lacked the ability to change?
