From January 2003, says that the flu kills an estimated 36,000 a year, and last I checked Swine Flu still hadn't killed 100 yet.
Sorry I couldn't find the CDC link for their estimate, Google kept giving me results for only H1N1 and it's late enough that I don't care to keep hunting.
And how is this different from the evaporation stills I've been using for years? More efficient no doubt, but the concept is still the same, and published in countless survival books.
This could be a good thing, piss off enough Americans by leaving the country, people are already sick of Microsoft and maybe this would be the straw that broke the camel's back. A mass migration from Windows to other operating systems can only be a good thing, it won't kill Microsoft, they're too big for that, but it will promote diversity and maybe get some good drivers and commercial software for others.
I'd take my old Bronco or another CJ over a hummer any day, of course I live in the mountains/forest where the size of a H1 is a liability, if I had the cash to spare and lived in the desert/plains I might like to have a real hummer but someone would have to pay me to drive a H2/H3.
Does that take into account that the new hummers are nothing like the old ones? I see a H2 and think soccer mom in a 4x4 rather than military. Not much of a "Heavy Industrial Machinery Co." left in them now.
Well, then wouldn't it make sense to work on getting equal rights rather than the name marriage? What about non Christians, they still need to be married for those rights even if it isn't what their faith calls for.
Just stop bloody well whining about not being able to get married, and work on getting the same rights as married people. Who knows, they might be able to help a group other than themselves.
Flamebait is not the same as I don't agree. Too bad you got hit by a fanboy, if I had any mod points left I'd mod the original and the reply up, give you some of the karma back you had no reason to lose.
Ubuntu has gotten better than when I first tried it, but it still isn't the most stable of distros, but at least it's as stable as a good install of XP now.
I prefer not to use it myself, but it works great on my wife's computer. In fact the only problem I have with Ubuntu is the fact that it's getting it's own set of fanboys who are as bad as the mac/windows bunch.
Yes, you're right in that, but I was speaking of the American justice system in general. Seems that some people here assume the lie of innocent until proven guilty.
If that is true why do you have to go to jail or pay bail while waiting for a trial? If you were truly innocent until proven guilty they wouldn't be able to keep you for three months trying to get you to sign a paper saying you did it, or charge you an ammount that you can't afford in order to let you go, or they'd at least be liable for damages once you prove you're innocent (which I thought we didn't have to do) when your court date finally rolls around.
I don't know about the death penalty, but there are plenty of 15 year olds that need a good punch in the face. Get rid of the laws protecting "minors" from the consequences of their actions and there may just be less kids who grow up to be sociopaths.
I used to spend more than $30 a week on coffee, then I moved to an area where I'd have to make those purchases at Starbucks, now I spend $0 a week. I have nothing against paying for something, I do have something against paying the name brand markup for an inferior product. Why would I pay the same price for a drip coffee that tastes burnt at Starbucks as I would have paid for an amazingly tasty drink at my old coffee shop?
I use redbox myself, $1 a day for movies, much beter than blockbuster and since I rent so few a month better than netflix as well. So far I've only felt cheated on one movie I've rented, it has to be really bad to not be worth $1 to watch.
I wish my mod points hadn't expired. I really could care less about what rating is slapped on a movie or a game, but you'd better believe that I'm watching it before I let my daughter watch it. This also includes "kids" shows, spending a bit of time watching the disney channel and nick is disturbing. The way the kids that are being projected as role models to today's youth behave and dress....
You know, I saw it once during the entire movie, when he reassemled himself it was pretty obvious but for the entire rest of the movie I never noticed it. Makes me wonder why everyone else apparently spent the whole movie staring at some blue guy's crotch.
This is the reason I trust nothing that I can't contiunue to run in the state it is now.I can always keep my current wine release if wine breaks something, or reinstall without the patch if a patch breaks something on an offline game, but I learned not to trust things with mandatory patches from an MMO I paid a year subscription to when three months in they patched it out of compatability with wine.
Can't recall where I saw it now, but right after Vista came out I found a "sneak peek" of 7 that was talking about how they were cleaning up the interface and making it more usable, the screenshot was of OpenBox.
Aside from the fact that your total cost is the same, if not higher, when you're in your trial period. That's like paying $600 for an OEM copy of XP, least it is with nearly everyone I ever dated.
Back when I used to smoke I stopped in Ontario California. I don't know if it's still this bad, but when I went outside for a cig I wasn't able to smoke because I was breathing so much crap in just being there, and at the time I was smoking two packs a day. If the air is bad enough to keep a pretty heavy smoker from lighting up for nearly a whole day I don't think there can be any doubt it's bad for you. Now I'm wondering if all my time living in big cities, and smoking for years, is being counteracted by living in the country and quitting.

Nope, they'll just change IE to AAA Browser like the plumbers who rely on being first in the phone book to get business.

My neighbor that drives a H2, reminds me of a Joe 24 pack, maybe if he didn't drive it everywhere he'd be in better shape.

Is this the only one of your comments that isn't at -1?

Flamebait? I thought it was funny myself.
And your inability to spell out your words or use proper grammar makes you so much better, yes?

black, white, yellow, red, purple
I vote purple, the only color that hasn't screwed something up yet, but I'm sure our first purple president will show us that they can do it too.

Or maybe just a guy who doesn't like the barbie type. Definatly not dead, gay or a robot, but that woman does nothing for me.
