  1. Re:It renders hours of work worthless... on OSI Starts Selling Preleveled UO characters · · Score: 2, Insightful
I have just one thing to say to you. Go play single person game and you can have a character as high as you want.

Its the part when you change the game AFTER everyone spent so much time on their character. If the game would allow it from the start, I would not complain a single bit. But then, I would not play the game either. And many others as well.

We would simply let these cheapskates like you who want something without earning it to play it.

  2. It renders hours of work worthless... on OSI Starts Selling Preleveled UO characters · · Score: 4, Interesting
The problem with this is that you found that the value of your time to put in gaining the character's levels and skills is priceless. You think that it requires unique dedication and makes you get to know the game and people in there in the process. You can say that someone sticking around for so many levels is worth it. He knows how to play his character and so on.

Now they just give a very cheap price tag on this and what more, you have complete newbies who you cannot rely on to do their part of job in group right and no way to distinguish them.

Its like if they would be selling Masters Diplomas for few bucks and they would be as good as these you earned. Wouldn't you think it devaluates your efforts throughout the school?

Ok, I've made a mistake there Minas Anor (Tirith) and Minas Ithil (Morgul) are the names, but it does not change a bit. If you would read what Tolkien says in Silmarillion about the end of this age, he clearly speaks about the battle of these two towers and thats where the name came from as well.

Yes, there is a city built within the walls of Minas Tirith and Morgul, but these are just part of the defense ring of the towers if you ever seen any map. The main city in Gondor was Osgiliath and its no more.

  15. Two Towers. Which ones? on Two Towers Teaser Trailer · · Score: 2
I mean, I hope they got it right, since it does not seem from the trailer. They talk about UNION of Two Towers, Barad-Dur and Orthanc, but the Two Towers in the title are about Minas Tirith and Minas Anor (Morgul) standing against each other, holding in the excpectation of the last battle.

I hope they got at least this right, when they blew the thing with Saruman so completely and revealed his alliance with Sauron in the first part long before it was revealed in the book at the end of Two Towers.

Unless you put something in the road of the coaster or make it slow down a lot more than the gravity pull during the way up, I cannot imagine that its going to decelerate way more than 1-G. Of course, the speeds can go pretty high, but we were talking about the acceleration, right?
