That's what I did. It fits my system set up a lot easier. I've already got the set up to download the file to the spot that I want to access it from on the network, so as long as it's a file format that my devices can read natively, torrenting is a better option.
Torrenting is so much faster downloading than direct file downloading, usually, and particularly with a server like this one where lots of people were reporting futzed d/l's because they were overloaded. So many were screwed up, the site added extra chances to download the file.
For me torrenting has always been about convenience. I could record the shows that I want to watch and encode them and move them to my NAS, but that's a bigger PITA then simply torrenting the show to the internal distribution site.
I don' t have a PC any more. Between my iPad, my phone, my network storage device, and my Xbox 360, I didn't really need it any more. When it died, I chucked it and haven't looked back.

But Time Machine just rolls it all up to work perfectly with no learning curve.
...except when it doesn't work, ditches your backup volume, and requires a complete new backup. Please stop pretending that Apple technology is more than it is.
I don't think his point is that writing a driver in PHP would be a pain. Rather, writing a device driver in PHP would be impossible. The language has no mechanism or syntax for addressing memory locations directly.
I believe it was explained in an earlier iOS 5 event that the pics taken from the lock screen are sequestered in a separate memory area and have to be promoted to your regular album.
This is a big deal. I've been using a Droid X since it came out and despite it having a dedicated camera button, when you go to take a picture, it takes friggin' forever to fire up. Being able to fire up the camera in 1.1 seconds is HUGE. Just think of all the opportunistic upskirts and nose picks you'll be able to automatically post to your Twitter account!
I was thinking he'd be wise to try again, this time studying conifers, which gather energy from sunlight all year round. A deciduous tree model would probably do very well in the summer, but isn't necessarily the best choice for winter, hence the difference between pine needles and leaves.
Me too. After hearing all the stories of one year old dead Time Capsules, I went with an outdated ReadyNAS Duo for half the price with a RAID. Of course it don't do wi-fi, but I already had that.
Buying them Apple stuff does not free you from that responsibility. I can attest from experience. Buying a Mac simply makes it more difficult for you to discern what the problem is.
The hacking is not what caused the the price to tank. The sell off was spurred by their moronic decision to shut the exchange off when they noticed a large sale of stolen coins.
Are there any other bugs in beta products you'd like to talk about? I think it's super important to allow the peanut gallery to form uneducated opinions based on partially complete, not-available-to-the-general-public betas.
A phone connection has a limit of 64kbps. That's the bandwidth allocated for a single phone connection on a digital network. The only way to get a higher data throughput is via some sort of compression.
It was demonstrated that great pains could be taken to attentuate the signals of other cell phones, and minor contact could attenuate the signals of the iPhone 4. Design FAIL.
You don't need to touch an antenna to attenuate it's signal, it's just much worse when you do, which is why this touchable-antenna-on-the-outside-of-the-phone is just plain bad engineering.
The low quality feed was free. The high quality feed always costed $3 a month. They got rid of the low quality feed altogether now. That was before the merger, though.

My cousin is out hunting US drones, but I get stuck with guard duty.

Evolution won't work. Way too much fragmentation.

Oh and they tweaked the camera a bit...

did anyone NOT see this coming?
I can think of 12 people who didn't...

"When I plug in the USB wire, nothing happens."
Apple is user-friendly, indeed.

If you ask for a can of pop, they'll give you a can of pop, even in coach, dude.

Duh.
Is it important to cite sources in every filler human interest story? No.

Can the Java programming language be compiled to IL, or just to JVM bytecode?
The Java programming language can be compiled to IL.

Just an icon with a chair would be funny and insightful at the same time :-)
Actually, it would be neither of those things.

Good call! Mod parent up.
Fun fact: the term "broadcast" is a farming term referring to throwing seeds over a tilled field.
if you have satellite radio you can listen for free online
Not on SiriusXM. $3 a month for internet or mobile access.
