Having unfortunately worked at Circuit City and Sears the margin of "markup" for high-end electronics including cameras, TVs and stereo equipment maybe slightly greater than 10%. All other items were sold with a fraction of markup or usually for a loss which would include(at the time of my employement) all TVs under 27" DVD players most computers. Cell phones and satellite subscriptions and the guy looking for the best TV, stereo and camera he can walk out with were the only things that made money(and their standard warranty), otherwise I don't know how they stay in business. High-end cameras had a large makrup and also a large return rate, as the buyer would return the camera after the (insert random event).
I wonder how many high paid execs Amazon has compared to BestBuy store/district managers.
Wow that is a seeming uneducated(dumb) and inaccurate comment. Palm's problems had nothing to do with innovation. The webos means for handing multiple tasks/apps/windows(whatever you want to call things on the screen) is still substantially better than anything else. It has been been a while since I've seen the latest gestures integration with android, but I believe the palm method for gesture is still the most advanced.
I never thought "too much resolution" could be a bad thing, and while it is not a bad thing, I think they are past the point of diminishing returns. The size, weight and heat factors alone make the 2 more desirable to me now.
I like how they are glamorizing compiz effects and the games that have been available in most default repositories for how long now? yeah way to be late to the party.
Is XFCE the best desktop alternative to gnome3/unity for PCs intended to be used with a mouse and not touchscreen?
My social machines are still riding mint10.
Google standing up for our rights is a side effect of Google picking indirect fights to protect their interests before the battle is in their own backyard.
There is a point where gestures are not going to be sufficient to represent the number of needed "hot-keys". Also, tablets look like shit as far as texture detail goes, I don't care how many pixels they throw at it. Maybe some day it will be better for this genre, but it is not right now.
I don't understand the part where the "DVD owner's" takes the disks into a store for "digital conversion". Beyond the oxymoron of converting DVDs to digital, I don't understand the reason for this. Is Warner using customers(users) to build a digital library, or is this the best way they could handle the exchange to prove that you have the original to get the digital copy?
So I listened to some MJ back in the 80s but now I wouldn't know if a track was unreleased or not. I wonder how the "hackers"/thieves know this, assuming it was not in a folder named UNRELEASED.
If you install Auctioneer you can sort by price per unit.

You obviously never worked for Circuit City, oh wait...

I'd rather know what percentage of twitter posts are deleted in the US.

Why do you need two routers? Segment a guest ssid.
“DoD is capability-limited in cyber, both defensively and offensively,”
Anyways, are we talking a bunch of old NT boxes plugged right into the internets, I mean the cyber.

Think how surprised he would be when such story is posted again hours later.

That is right, because my rifles would not fit in my nightstand.
I have limited exposure to the diablo series, but what you describe basically sums up the experience in WoW since the talent tree reduction.

Bribes are illegal, that is why they are campaign contributions.
No way, I believe Googles security would be substantially better than any government system, right?
Why not say the ipad is 100x faster than X? Apple stated during the ipad release that the iphone has the highest pixel density, but the HTC rezound is higher. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_displays_by_pixel_density
A need to travel a distance that may require a car is NOT an alternative solution to piracy.

Please explain why you say my math skills are rusty?
I remember it, but reading 20 years ago in 1992 makes me feel old, 92 really doesn't seem like it was 20 years ago to me.

I had the same fear, the image at actual size would have bad detail. However, Nokia has sample images available for download that look amazing, seems suspicious. Link to sample pics towards the bottom. http://www.dailytech.com/Nokias+41+MP+Super+Phone+to+Sport+Symbian+See+EuroOnly+Launch/article24093.htm
Did you forget we are boycotting Sony here?
