In the patent itself they use the Palm Pilot as an example of the technology difference. The PDA is a touch screen device with visual cues guiding your touch. The patent is for blind operation via a touch surface, distinguishing commands my motions or patterns. The patent exempts computers and distinctly applies itself to portable media/entertainment devices.
I don't see home some of the media players fit into this patent for "blind operation via touchpad"
For example, the iPod - The click wheel visually navigates on-screen. The controls are physical buttons underneath the touchpad. Maybe for the fastforward/rewind motions, but its hard to get there blindly if I recall. You still need visual feedback to use it.
So they are just salvaging the non-toxic readily bio-degradable glue from the panels?
Then what happens to the rest of the toxic non bio-degradable materials they claim will be prevented from entering the landfills/incinerators?
Malware has been installing proxies and/or phoning home for years. (backdoors to direct-connect to/through your machine, instant messaging keystrokes).
today about 66% of the world's people live in right-hand traffic countries and 34% in left-hand traffic countries. About 72% of the world's total road distance carries traffic on the right, and 28% on the left.
I remember watching a show on discovery about this many years ago, they'd have special clickers in their hand that sound like a bottle cap with the tampering pop up depressed. They showed off blind people walking without poles, identifying object around them. And some people riding bikes too! Even a live demonstration of a man who has never used the method before navigating an unfamiliar room just be clicks.
Otherwise you would need 2 adapters to plug into the wall and the computer at the same time. It only makes sense to use 1 connector to handle both -- and that is probably so obvious that it won't be done.
Yes.
In HS I showed out net admin that I could access anyone's private doc folder - across multiple campuses. I wasn't caught, I explicitly showed it to the proper authorities. I got suspended and my computer privileges revoked.
Apparently you are better off doing wrong than good.
They already do this in their camcorders, I got gypped on a battery from ebay that I tested fine, but the camera said "compatible battery only" or "infolitium only". Luckily the seller explicitly stated this battery would work on my model so i had a claim
But we are no longer in the 1970s
Because this is obviously the language's fault.

Try blindly texting with a touch screen. With few mistakes.

...I don't think the big issue was the 'glue' they are extracting is it?
Nope, the glue PVA is apparently non toxic and quickly decomposes

Devolve?
No, you got it. I happen to have red/cyan glasses on my desk and it seems the two cameras aren't even in sync (noticed when panning)
Oh, and that girl still looks flat.

Then you shouldn't be on Slashdot. Though I am very surprised a non-apple phone made the headlines.

This is why you work from the first error down
I'd think any kind of abrasive tool (a saw is an abrasion tool) would cause a lot of vibration.
Ditto :-/
People will just turn this on, go bored out of their minds and start rioting the broadcast stations
