Of course she could have, this is America. You can sue McDonald's for making you a fat, lazy dumbass! You can sue for cutting your hand on shards of glass from the window you shattered while breaking into someone's house. You can press charges if your idiotic kid falls out of a tree in your neighbor's yard or drowns in their pool while trespassing. Smell that? That's stupidity, it replaced freedom a long time ago in this country.
Seems like that if death was the normal punishment for more crimes, then crime rates would plummet. Of course, all of those silly consensual and victimless crimes would have to be done away with...

[div]That's for sure! Of course, if by interact, you mean zonked-out, zombified consumers can walk around their local Wal-Mart with some device plugged into their ear, completely oblivious to their surroundings, then yes, I'll agree. Interaction is a marketing ploy for these toys. Mobile telephones were always annoying and only go further and further down that line with each new feature added. MP3 players are quickly becoming that way as well, but the devices do share a lot of functions nowadays, so it's understandable.
I know, it's a horrid thought for all of the weak, middle class, yuppies. Most of them would curl up into a ball and die if the electric ever went out. I lead a fairly self efficient life however. I actually have no "gadgets", save for my computer, a television set/stereo, DVD player and camcorder. The television and DVD player are purely for films, while the computer is mainly for information and my own creative endeavors (a trait my camcorder shares). The fact that I can relax and play Quake now and then on my PC is a bonus, but not its purpose and though I may enjoy what I get out of the more mundane gadgets, I could just as easily live without. I certainly do okay with stupid shit like mobile telephones and MP3 players.
But the distinct lack of really great songs as well as tons of "As made famous by..." really put me off. I think you just summed up the 80s for me. Ha! Take that you overrated decade, you!:D
More tracks from what is probably the worst decade of popular music. Guitar Hero III looked to be shaping up fairly well as far as the tunes go, however.
My second edition Vampire: the Masquerade, thank you! Though I've been dying to get some experienced roleplayers together and give Call of Cthulhu (non d20!) a shot.
Linux User #1: Bring out the Gimp.
Linux User #2: But the Gimp's sleeping.
Linux User #1: Well, I guess you're gonna have to go wake him up now, won't you?
Preliminary analysis of images taken by onboard cameras revealed expected "popcorning" foam loss during ascent[...] Cameras and popcorn! I believe that you can go to NASA's website and print off coupons for one free soft drink as well.
I've been using Trillian for years and still like it the best. Gaim is nice in it's simplicity and cross platform use however. I keep trying Kopete but never use it frequently enough to adjust to its little quirks.
Uwe Boll, video game based films, etc... Does it really make a difference when almost all big name films coming out are complete and utter shit anyway?
I'd like to see a regular action RPG, maybe along the lines of Lego Star Wars. Have a character creation system similar to "The Original Trilogy", but not just limited to Star Wars pieces. Furthermore, I'd like to see a simple level editor like the downloadable Lego Builder game. Perhaps you could even make your own vehicles like that? The sad truth is that ACTUAL Lego products aren't doing well nowadays because it's almost all licensed Harry Potter, Star Wars and Spider-man crap. I would buy a game in a heartbeat that could recapture my childhood of building entire room-sized cities out of Legos, each character with their own distinct personality and place within the story. Maybe I was in the minority when it came to looking at Lego in such a grand way though. But hey, nothing ever got cooler than infiltrating the vampire castle to steal Excalibur only to be bitten and infected yourself and having to fight alongside those bloodsuckers against Anubis, the Mummy and a horde of shambling skeletons. Of course, after that the cyborg pirates would always come out of the shadows...

I don't know that I would convict most murders. A lot of people allow themselves to be victimized.

Well, I wasn't counting the digital alarm clock beside my bed...

"Kind of like the iPod is just a really overpriced and overexposed MP3 player?" There, I fixed that for you. ;)
Though I won't hold the 90s up as a pillar of great musical acts either, I'd take grunge over hair metal any day. ;)
If they were here to "serve and protect" they wouldn't be harassing citizens in petty traffic stops to begin with.

Mmmm, Popplers...
It's a phone, get a fucking life! I swear, mobile telephones just keep getting more and more annoying.

How is the ending of a popular mobster show "news for nerds"?
What exactly happens in this level? Do you go in and kill all of the theists? I might just change my dim views on Sony...

...Oh :(
Of course, "I for one accept that in Soviet Russian Beowulf Clusters mod inconsiderate clods down!" would have been accepted...

Making a plug-in for Wii games and remotes!

Us Stalkers have known this for quite some time. Just be sure to throw some nuts and bolts around in front of you!
