bmw actually uses an amazingly obvious yet genius method of timing sparks in the newer motors. They spark when the resistance on the plug gap reaches a certain level meaning the air/fuel mix is at the right compression level and piston position to fire. It works correctly every spark and causes a more efficient combustion. No distributors, no need to sense crank position! It could have been incorporated on cars a long time ago! So simple!

  19. Re:Capitalism at its best on Leaked AT&T Letter Damages Case For T-Mobile Merger · · Score: 1

I would refer to the current state of the US as Corporatism than Capitalism. Capitalism presumes that there will be competition because the market would be full of customers that can make educated decisions for their own good. This is obviously not the case. And the current state of education is making it worse.
Corporatism just sees people as consumers, not customers. The attitude of entitlement to consumer money is rampant.
Now, I would say that in some sectors there is enough competition and the customer demographic is relatively educated enough to drive market forces. But for the most part this is not the case.

sometimes all it takes to make a good gameplay mechanic sell is the skin. The angry birds characters seem to have hit successfully. Many people enjoy this type of game but usually those games dont have memorable characters/story/art etc. Just an example that it's not just gameplay that's important.
