The submission is an exaggeration, and this "secret API" nonsense is speculation on the part of the submitter. Firefox's performance has already been brought up to snuff.
I recommend the Cowon iAudio 7. It has great sound output and comes with decent headphones, and the battery can easily last for two days straight. I have never seen the battery meter below three bars. It also receives FM radio. Small but not too small. It supports MP3, WMA, WAV, Ogg Vorbis, and FLAC, which was important to me and may be a value add for you. Newegg has the 4 GB version for $114 and the 16 GB version for $199, Amazon has the 8 GB version for $125. The interface is a little sensitive and may take some time to get accustomed to. Be sure to download the latest firmware.
When I took driver's education in high school (which is not a requirement for a license), we were shown a film going over what to do at the scene of an accident, but I don't think it was covered on the knowledge test.
You're forgetting that prosperity is governed by people's productivity, and it doesn't matter whether the wealth is denominated in dollars or Euros.
it is incredibly unrealistic to say that America will become a backwater country. No industrialised nation will lose everything, the dramatic example of the fall of Rome notwithstanding.
I'm not disagreeing with you that if America shut itself off to the world, the rest of the world would get by. I'm sure you won't miss American exports. Verily, I doubt any part of your computer was designed, manufactured, or assembled in America.
There is no desperate need to balance the budget, and the deficit is certainly not "killing" America. America's debt is about 65% of its GDP right now - how does your debt compare to your income, and what does the bank think of you as a credit risk? - and federal receipts are currently growing faster than federal outlays, leading to a budget balance some time by late 2009. America has practically infinite credit, and millions of people are willing to lend to us at a very reasonable rate. At the height of our debt-to-GDP ratio, after World War II, the federal debt was over 200% of our GDP, yet we survived.
Don't trust anyone forecasting the imminent doom of America. As Adam Smith said when told the loss of the states would ruin Britain, "there is much ruin in a nation." People have been predicting disaster for America and the world forever, and it is easy to find many examples. So far, all of these people whose predictions are not still in the future (I'm looking at you, 2012 cranks) have shown to be cranks.
The condition is known as carotenodermia. It takes much longer than a single interrogation session to develop and will go away after several months if carotene consumption is reduced.
Is that all? You give those out any time you buy alcohol.
This is funny, not a troll.

I couldn't agree more.

He's referring to a TV show that ran from 1974 to 1978.
Actually, that was written by Jack London.
That's an ad verecundiam.
Yeah! And what does it matter if Saudi Arabia vanishes? My gas station doesn't do business out of town!

OS X displays beautiful Japanese text. Windows is barely legible by comparison.

They were never a "big organisation behind ODF." They were two guys who picked an authoritative-sounding name at got invited to conferences.
I hope you can see that "flamebait" is a complete and correct description of your post.
I know I'll be modded down for this, but you make a good point.
That one never gets old.
Contrary to common practice, KC owns the copyrights to their work.
The problem with this is that no one is qualified to be president.
