    I've seen it make sense. In this case we had this huge business requirements document for writing a truckload of form validations. We needed a few extra hands on deck just for that.

    One types pretty fast with swiping. I mean, for code it would be crap, but for plain natural language it works pretty well, in my experience. The one thing I miss keys for is typing without looking at the phone, which has become impossible.

    This is misleading. The registration is done on your own country and you submit a quarterly VAT return detailing how much you sold to each other country. You then pay the full amount to your country, which is then in charge of distributing the money. You can also do it the way you've described, but I can't see why anyone would choose to do that. Source: worked on the system. It exists EU-wide, not just on my country

    The way I use it, it's basically Google Reader with a blue background, but I do agree their landing page says absolutely nothing about what their product is like.

    I've switched to Inoreader ever since, and I'm happy with it, since it's pretty much the same thing.

    The issue nowadays is finding where the damn RSS feed is, since browsers took the icon away.

    This is really off the mark. I have 1100 mAh, 1.2V rechargeable AAA batteries. 1.1 Ah * 1.2 V = 1.32 Wh ~= 4752J. No idea about the disposable batteries.

  24. Why would you want to line the halls with digital photo frames?

    a) A single digital photo frame can show you multiple pictures.
    b) If you absolutely must line the halls with pictures, the world is full of other people who will do stuff for you in exchange for money. They already did the photo frames, and they still do. There's no need to keep tons of photos in drawers.

    Iceland immediately defaulted in a similar situation, they had some short term pain but they rebounded.

    You know, I actually believed in this too, until recently, when a friend smelled bullshit and called me out on it. We actually went to look at some numbers, and Iceland's GDP is still nowhere near where it was in 2007. It grew 30% in 5 years, which is great, but it would still need to grow almost 30% again to reach 2007 levels. So they did, and are still paying for their default. I'll refrain from comparing the situation to that of Greece.
