Need large amount of computing power than you never need to move, BUY A DESKTOP.
Absolutely. I'm also tired of discussing this with my friends. A desktop with the same specs as a laptop is usually around half the price. Ok, more than half at the low-end, but less at the high-end. I just don't see the point of spending double the money on something that provides no advantage at all.
Although you don't seem to realize it, you are on to something.
Microsoft once prided itself on never breaking backward compatibility on their OSs (Office is, as we all know, another story). They've lost that differentiation.
I've run and used daily both an OS X and an Ubuntu workstation for several years, and in that time I've essentially given up on trying to make A/V playback, browser plugins, or even multiple-screen use work on the linux box.
Nowadays, all it takes to make A/V and plugins work on Ubuntu is "sudo apt-get install ubuntu-restricted-extras". Really, that's it.
Engine braking is a fine way to brake, nowadays. Modern engines don't burn any fuel while engine braking, and the braking is usually slow enough for the unlit brake lights not to be a problem.
Plus, it's essential while going downhill, otherwise your brakes will be useless. Unless what you want to accelerate, of course. Then, by all means, let gravity help you.
Not 100%. As a Portuguese, I have to say, we have, in general, a knack for abusing free/really cheap stuff. For example, the concept of those newspaper boxes, the ones you open and take only ONE newspaper, is inconceivable, here.
On the other hand, and unrelatedly, sanity is usually above the law, here, which I think is a good thing.
Thanks. I gotta keep up with these acronyms.
I Am Not A Lawyer But I Have Studied Law And Witheld Incidentally Tons of Facts?
I have seen a light flicker in LED taillights, but just in a minority of cars that have them. Guess some manufacturers are just cheap...

Um... you could put the said on/off switch before the said DC converter. Or use a power strip that does that.
I stand corrected. I skimmed through some licensing info and it mentioned site licenses, so I assumed too much.
That would be illegal. But, thankfully, Scorched 3D wouldn't, although I'm not sure it would run properly.

It seems to have been all the rage in Prague.
Actually, typing 3-6 letters on my keyboard still takes less time than waiting for a connection to Google.
Quadruple X?! Now THAT'S hardcore!
Mod parent up! That advice is meant for people who can become suspects of the crime.
Pretty much every PC gamer.
'Listen' to Portuguese? I AM Portuguese.
And sorry, no. Even with all their similarities, the languages are quite different.
...500 years ago. But really, you'd be surprised how many people think Portugal is part of Spain.

...except it can't power your device while you're listening.
At least where I'm from, there are people to do those kinds of jobs. I believe the translation would be "nursing support staff", or something similar.
And I personally believe that U.S. Americans are unable to do so because, uhmmm, some people, out there in our nation don't have maps and uh, I believe that our, I, education like such as uh, South Africa, and uh, the Iraq, everywhere like such as, and I believe that they should, uhhh, our education over here in the US should help the U.S., uh, should help South Africa, it should help the Iraq and the Asian countries so we will be able to build up our future, for us.
Shhh, don't give them ideas!
Erm... what was wrong with 'grep -nri keyword *'?

Just because he used the fastest way, doesn't mean there isn't an easiest way... Applications -> Add/remove applications -> Games. There.
On the other hand, World of Padman is at least on par with those, but I'd say better. :)
