I have also tried it, and it went really smoothly. But I don't like the game very much.
You pretty much HAVE to have the patience to learn where every powerup is in all the maps you play, and try to beat people to them to be even marginally good at this game. I feel the default weapon is way too weak, and the armor is way too strong.
...and, from what I gather from around the Net, people in the EU paid VAT for purchases in dollars, and it STILL was cheaper than it is. But this isn't personal experience since I only started using Steam last holiday.
NVIDIA has their laptop drivers on their website so you no longer have to get outdated ones from your OEM. (Took them long enough.)
Man, this is news for me, and it's GREAT. Though I wonder why I didn't see this reported on Slashdot, since I at the very least glance at every story...
Anyway, I have a NVIDIA card on my laptop, and I feel kind of cheated, though it kind of serves me right for not doing decent research. This laptop has a Geforce 8400M G, which really shouldn't be in the 8M series. It's slow as molasses and it has around half the performance of the similarly named Geforce 8400M GS...
From Portugal it's the same, though I can watch it in the "viewing rooms", though you can't control the timer, so you'd have to wait until the episode restarts.
Reading through your text, I only see the need for two versions, Desktop and Enterprise. Let's throw in a netbook version, even though I can't see why Windows can't just disable whatever Aero's called on 7, if it detects a netbook. So, why are there six versions, again?
Exactly, that's why the only games I buy from Steam are:
a) Games I really want, and can only get from there, e.g. The Orange Box. b) Games I can get from there for a lot less than in stores, e.g. the two expansions for Half-Life for a grand total of â2, or Bioshock for â5, last holiday.
As an aside, Valve's support really sucks. I'll elaborate on that if someone wants to listen.
They have no copy protection, which is different from having no DRM. They do have DRM. Just try buying one of those games used. Congratulations, you just bought a nice single-player only game with no updates available.
Disclaimer: no, this didn't happen to me. I'm just sick of hearing those games don't have DRM.
I'm wondering if the pound's current low vs the euro might have had something to do with it. I was broke on Christmas, but many of my friends bought stuff for really cheap at Amazon UK.
Having a monopoly isn't illegal. Using a monopoly in a market (music stores) to have an unfair advantage in another (media players) is. Despite having done that in the past, Apple has (mostly) stopped that practice.
Not that I disagree with your point, but only in America will you see people saying their "small car" gets 35 mpg. Unless the car is 5-10+ years old, of course.
Because there's people who'll do "same money for more work", or even "same money for inferior work, which you won't know it's inferior until it's in your hands", especially in a recession.
Any hacker can make their Firefox (or Opera) look like IE or any other browser.
I'll even give you one better. A friend of mine changed his household computer to Firefox, much to his father's dismay, who "didn't like it". He then proceeded to change Firefox's desktop icon to IE's and his father has been happy ever since:).
What about if I dislike T9 because I have to look at the screen while I'm typing? I mean, I usually write messages while I'm walking around, and it's nice to... you know, watch where I'm going.
It DOES exist: http://crackle.com/c/Jace_Hall/Jace_Hall_Ep_1_Duke_Nukem_Forever_SNEAK_PEEK_/2298717 2:30.
Doesn't mean any of us will probably ever see it, though...
What about ext2fsd? I haven't had any problems in a while with that one, although the previous version DID cause blue screens.
Never happened to me either.
Are you sure you didn't remove those "begin[/end] debian automagic kernels list" comments from menu.lst?

Nevermind the weight or cost of these components, of course.

And here I was thinking Britney was already painful to hear without the tricks...
Meh, they sent their Spies and it worked. Quit whining.
Intel must be RED since IBM is BLU.

I really think 10" is the sweet spot. The keyboard becomes uncomfortable to use, below that.
1500 years ago? Lots of them. 3000? I don't know, probably not.

The one that died the moment most of their catalog consisted of non-DRM'd songs?

Is it per hour worked, or per hour _billed_? 'Cause there's a difference, unfortunately.

Just... wow. I definitely wanna have some of what you're smoking! And I mean that in a good way.
...had a hard drive throw contest. Much more interesting. :)
