Well considering in Canada we have this stupid thing called the YOUNG OFFENDERS ACT that makes the maximum for any crime a child commits (including MURDER) be 2 years. I'd say that the real criminals are being rather smart about this. They're utilizing the youngest and most vulnerable in their criminal networks to do things for them like card validation and use. Which are ironically the most high-risk portions of their operation.

Part of the problem is that the speakers arent shielding their wires from the EMI properly and they're picking up your cell phone's transmissions and receptions as an antenna would.

If you put some ferrite beads on the wire to your speaker it kills the GSM buzz and such because it takes a slightly bigger signal (like that from your TV, Radio or Computer) to push through it as compared to the background noise from a cell phone being probed for activity pre-ring.

I can see how a case could be made for foreign nationals to always come under the jurisdiction of BORDER PATROL given the post 9/11 overreaction that everyone is plotting to blow up the US :P

    1) Poison the DNS services, basically redirecting all your DNS requests to their own servers regardless of what you set your DNS IP address to.
    2) Perform a MITM attack against every certificate request for Verisign or other certificate authorities.

Naturally the routers would be able to do this without you knowing because they'll just rewrite the IP address when stuff is returned so it looks like its coming from the requested IP. Sorta like how the Comcast was forging RST packets but for much more sinister reasons.
