I worked in a DoD office a few years ago that was run by a Colonel who had all of his emails printed out in triplicate (one for his office, one for home, and one to file) by his secretary. He never read any of his email on his computer.
My problem with the size of the seating is the legroom. When I sit in an airline seat, my knees hit the back of the seat in front of me and, at 6'1", I'm not a particularly tall person. I ask every person who sits in front of me not to recline their seat back, but every once in a while I get some asshole who not only reclines it, but slams it back, right on my knees.
Lots of people say "If you need more room, fly first class" but that's not an option on most flights that I take as most regional jets only have coach seating.
It looked to me like if you slid the keypad down, it would open up a window for the camera to see through. Take a look at the back half when she has it fully open.
It's a bit of inconsistency on the part of Verizon, I think. They're marketing this particular phone as the "Droid" or sometimes "Motorola Droid" while the other Android devices they've got coming (so far a pair of HTC devices is all I've heard about) are marketed as "Droid Eris" and "Droid Passion." Sholes was the internal code name that Motorola used for the Droid during development, but even they are calling it "Droid by Motorola" on their site.
Granted, I don't know all the details, but the info I've seen about this makes it sound like these are all related to GSM, UTMS, and WiFi hardware. Since Apple does not produce this hardware themselves, why should they be responsible for licensing this from Nokia? The actual manufacturer of the related hardware (Broadcom and Infineon, IIRC) should be responsible.
Amtrak competes very well along the DC<->NYC route.
No hours of security theater to go through at the train stations, trains roughly every half hour, are far more comfortable, AND are cheaper. Yes, the train takes longer to get from station to station than a plane takes from airport to airport, but the train station doesn't have security theater which can sometimes take 2 hours to get through during peak travel hours. That time going through security can make the total trip time roughly the same.
Teaches in Texas (which I'm assuming this is at since they mentioned Bowie High School)..
You assume wrong. This Bowie High School is in Prince George's County, Maryland. There is no Prince George's county in Texas, so just reading the summary you should have known better..
I've met Bill Nye (well, a Bill Nye) and he was a religious nutjob..
Seriously, though, this guy was just like Michael Bolton in Office Space. Wouldn't go by Will or William because he's been Bill all his life and why should he change "just because some idiot became famous with the same name."
There were no airbags or restraints preventing the driver's head from flying out the window as the Smart got punted. If they're lucky, real people in the Smart would only get whiplash and a few contusions from a crash like that, but that looked a bit more severe than that.
Define "quite common." I've worked in about a dozen different offices in the DC area and I've never had one with a shower. One had a gym with a shower in the building next door, but I would have had to pay $20/month to use it.

We still have 5 more years..
And who knows, MS's Project Natal might lead to what the kids were talking about with "You mean you have to use your hands? That's like a baby's toy!"
Well, it is the only way to be sure..
I was thinking more along the lines of Demolition Man.
Run over?

No, the Nuvifone is not running Android.
No, Ares V is the heavy lift rocket. Ares I is just for crew launch, low earth orbit stuff.
That feature isn't available when using your own number, only when using a number assigned to you from Google.

Um.. He said who he works for:
As an employee of Motorola..

Does this mean that CSIRO finally signed the Letter of Assurance that IEEE has been asking for?

Why one sue now when you can wait until it gets more supporters and sue them all?
Now to wash off my brain for thinking like a patent troll..
Your post brings to mind the words of Londo Mollari:
"The Council can go to hell! The emergency session can go to hell! And you, Vir, you can go to hell, too. I would not want you to feel left out."
..that the Secret of NIMH was super-intelligent, magic using rats..
id made it's name on Commander Keen and Wolfenstein, back in the days of shareware. Doom and Quake just built it up more.
Hokies are from Virginia. Blacksburg, in particular. It's evidently some weird cross-breed of man and turkey that's good at football and engineering.

The Smart ForTwo weighs over 2.5 times as much (1880 lbs.) in large part to the hardware required to pass those crash tests.
A 700 lb. car is going to get squashed like a bug in a crash with a vast majority of the vehicles on the road.
