If I were to guess, I'd say its the same kind of difference as there is between visually and audially* oriented people. Some people read the words for their pronunciation value, and parse the sentence from that, while others read words for their pictographical value, and parse the sentence from that. If so, it's not so much a matter of skill, but of one's dominant sense.
* Yes, I know that's not an accepted English word, but I'd like to introduce it.
I just did the exact same thing as you. (Typing on my T61 with ubuntu now). I also used the same reasoning when i wiped it, but also knowing that all the hardware was Linux compatible when it came pre-installed was nice. Mine came with gnome installed, and it looked very KDE'ish. Maybe you didn't even realize that it was in fact gnome, but it was very awkward and uncomfortable. The package management was a bit of a disaster (reminiscent of openSuse 10.1), so I quickly went for ubuntu. I think it's great, and it's a shame Dell is the only manufacturer that's embracing it. SLED was a bit of a disappointment, and I wished that what would be some folks' introduction to linux after a new computer purchase would be a more pleasant one.
Oh, and which buttons did you tweak? Everything seems to work fine for me, so I'm curious.
I'd like the text to be rendered first also, but it'd be really nice if a browser could download all of the dimensions of the images and place neat boxes where they will appear. It gets very annoying when I try to read an article that's still loading pictures and the text keeps jumping around.
Yeah, we should arrest firearms manufacturers whenever there's a murder. After all, they're just profiting off of crime. I'm glad we have someone to blame at least.
The problem with B is that a Schedule I drug rarely will have the opportunity to be accepted in medical treatment in the US, despite overwhelming evidence in support of it. (See motor disorders for marijuana).
Drugs similar to heroin (including morphine of course) do have accepted medical use in the US however, and heroin itself does in the UK. Both of these drugs can be safely used under medical supervision, but heroin is far more harmful to the body than marijuana.
You could also attribute all three of these to caffeine if you wanted to, it's potential for abuse is far higher than that of marijuana.
Nicotene isn't actually a harmful drug, just extremely addictive. I wouldn't put it in the same class as alcohol and heroin (which should be in the same class).
When are ethical issues not directly derived from self interest? The issue with throttling at an ISP level is receiving the service one pays for. Bandwidth shaping for a personal network, deciding what one would like to do with the service they purchased, is an entirely separate issue.
Thanks Mike, we should probably just follow after the great advances Australia has made in promoting freedom and democratic thinking. You're making a terribly stupid argument about a country you clearly know very little about; and (speaking of polarization) in your pointless country v. country democracy showdown, your own loses most of the time.
Stop making assumptions about an entire country based off of the actions of the smallest fraction of our population, and if you're going to attack an/entire/ country you should be prepared to defend your own.

Aurally is the word you're looking for.

So I guess we win right? The Year of Finally Relaxing is 2008.
you fail too.
Warcraft OS! And I thought I spent too much time on my computer already.
No. He could.
Don't count out VIA. In recent years they've begun focusing more on the general consumer. They've always been tops in small form factor anyways.

That was his point.
It's that variation of English where all homonyms mean the same thing. They call it "Internet".
Perhaps my blind hatred caused you to miss the post that I was referring to?

Dear mods, I'm missing something here. the GP was clearly a troll, but the parent is insightful for clarifying that he was voted for twice?

I laughed. Mod it up.

The fool(s) who read it correctly.
Perhaps I'll learn English while I'm there.
I'd support that if I didn't hate you so much. ~
