  1. The sky is falling. Again. on BBC on Global Dimming · · Score: 1
This is a lot of fear mongering.

In Florida, from jet trails alone, one can start out with a completly clear day and end up with total cloud cover as they grow and grow. I don't remember so many thick jet trails in the past. So I doubt scientists are worried about cloud cover, especially when it seems somebody is intent on creating it.

  8. Terrorism pretext on Laser Painting Could Lead to 25-Year Prison Term · · Score: 2, Funny

The terrorism pretext is a big excuse to clamp down on Americans. In other news, little Johnny rudely pointed his finger at his teacher, Mrs. Smith. He will get 50 years for that. Little did Johnny know that his finger pointing interrupted Mrs. Smith's speech and caused her to lose her bid for school principal.

Map of Homeland and Ft. Meade, Florida. Man, somebody sure has a sense of humor. Perhaps the NRO people wanted to make the NSA guys eyes bug out. I believe somebody snickered over this, even if I cannot prove it.

Convention on the Prohibition of Military or Any Other Hostile Use of Environmental Modification Techniques

ENMOD gives a state nuclear power without all the lingering radiation. Note all the media comparisons of hurricane and tsunami power to equivalent Hiroshimas. If there's going to be a new world order it must be policed by force. Right? Uncooperative nations get tsunamied. Cooperative nations get favorable weather for growing crops. Do I believe it? I suspect it. It doesn't make it true.

  14. Conclusion on Budget Issues Force Spy Satellites Into The Open · · Score: 2, Insightful
Seeing articles like this, the push for 24/7 surveillance, rfid chipping, biometrics, OnStar's gps capabilities, cell phone tracking capabilities, surveillance cameras one mile apart as I drive into Orlando and the like, I would say the government's goal is making people comfortable with the idea of being watched despite the 4th Amendment. Satellite surveillance was obviously secret at one time but eventually secrets make their way out into the open and you have to break it to the citizens and get them to accept it (being under surveillance). It relieves the state from the buildup of too many secrets to manage.

Think about it: the U.S. government isn't going to reveal any secrets in any article except for perhaps a few minor secrets from the 1950's. And also consider that any public statement by the intelligence community is made for a reason. Always. And it's not to reveal secrets. I consider this article part of a PR campaign: you are to accept being watched as the new reality.

So it seems the new world order will resemble a prison.
