Many people don't understand what philosophy, in general, is doing. Nor are they aware when they are engaging in philosophy or making philosophical assumptions. Scientists do it all the time.
Let alone a historical perspective of where they came from.
Here is how they noticed a pattern: Michael Borowitz, at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in Baltimore, Maryland, says: "The shapes of the major clusters are often similar but in any system there is noise, and those noisy dots are in the same place too. That's hard to explain by biology. It is very difficult for me to believe that these were independent experiments." Borowitz is an expert in interpreting flow cytometry graphs, which he regularly uses to identity abnormal populations of cells in the blood and bone marrow of leukaemia patients.
Three other experts contacted, including Paul Robinson, a professor of immunopharmacology and biomedical engineering and Director of the Flow Cytometry Labs at Purdue University in West Lafayette, say that the graphs appear concerningly alike.
Darn Americans trying to control everything! Can we please allow the U.N. to control the Internet so we can have an easier time suppressing our people?
If there is a lot of Apple users in the media, it would be worthwhile to point it out. That doesn't mean that the media is trying to be pro-Apple. But they show by their actions that they are already pro-Apple so when you hear what they have to say, use that knowledge of bias or possible bias to take things with a grain of salt.
If the media had no Apple users, I would want to know that as well.
While all governments and organizations have a level of corruption, the U.N. has to be one of the most corrupt organizations on the planet. Who in their right mind would give control to the Internet let alone the people who want to make the U.N. the world's ultimate governing authority?
If the Sierra Club gives money to a pro-environmental candidate, is that bribery? How about the NRA to a politician that is already anti-gun control?
Now, what if campaign contributions aren't bribes? What if they are extortion payments? Make this payment or we won't protect you.
Case in point: Microsoft.
Microsoft did very little lobbying and gave very little campaign cash. And then DoJ came after them. I am not of fan of what they did. I believe the DoJ was justified to come after them. But I'm pretty sure there lack of playing the political game enabled that.
If the government prevents you from entering into a mutually agreed upon contract length, how can that not strip you, however small, of some of your rights?
In my experience in the business world, Outlook is kept around for its calendar and its integration with other apps. It's not that email in and of itself has to be handled by Outlook.
I would think Disney would just close down their new department. Why keep it if they bought Pixar?
who watches sci-fi in well-lit rooms. So much for stereotypes.
By noticing patterns in the data, i.e. design. That's a double-edged sword you are playing with.

Not that there's anything wrong with that.

There needs to be accountability.

He can wipe those computers.
Now, if he is found not-guilty and it isn't returned then there will be problems.
Alleged drug dealers and drunk drivers have the issues you are thinking about. Inpound the car, sell it at auction...whoops, not guilty.
Are we ready to embrace nuclear power to reduce greenhouse gases? No.
Do we want wind power? Not if it destroys our view from Martha's Vinyard.

Do the anti-virus companies write the viruses in the first place?
I don't think they do, and I'm not prone to conspiracy theories. But I can't shake the thought.
Do you want the Svansbo or the Dalsfor installation?
There is a high probablility that Mars has blowback from meteorites from Earth. So life on Mars may have very well been there, but from Earth.
You are completely correct. You need to go after the profit motive.
Seriously, is there a business model for this or is it just a way to lessen Microsoft's dominance?
Remember when Fox would change the color of the hockey puck in order to show how fast it was going?
Or maybe they can use different color smoke like in Back to the Future III.
Because it breaks the law. What more do they need to know?

That's what checks and balances are for.
Government's first responsibility is to protect its citizens.
The public interest part is the part to be concerned about. That is just squelching disagreement.
It's good to be a geek and to be able to argue about this.
The Pentagon was ahead of its time I think.
