    The IP address for them doesn't exist, or at east that is the error all the torrent clients on 4 networks on 2 different backbones all tell me.

    I HATE installing an OS on multiple CD's...

    a) I'd like to see a lawsuit like that fly in an at-will state. BTW I'm not a shitty employee; I *am* the hiring, firing, 2nd-in-command-of-everything manager of a big fat 60 employee data center with rural outsourced (Oklahoma) customer support reps.

    b) "Who moved my cheese?" was a pack of horseshit. The cheese not only gets moved, but it gets cut in half, too.

    c) Finding another island is nice in theory, but have you ever tried moving to India to get a tech job? In this economy, the jobs are mobile as heck, but the work force isn't. Go ahead, try to move to India. Write me in your will first, though, I ain't counting on you making it back alive, especially if you can't lose the appetite for Six Dollar burgers.

    (oh boy, now it's time to insert the "I'm in India, it's easy to get/live here" b.s. stories from people who probably can't even spell the name of the dominant language there [note: that's a trick question])

    Employers can now threaten to fire you, then give your next employer a negative job reference, and at the same time replace you with cheap illegal immigrants, H1B visa holders, or outsource their work overseas.

    It's called maintaining an employer's market. In an employer's market, there are far more job seekers than jobs. An employer then becomes the economic equivalent of the only female on an island full of men.

    Here's a reading comprehension aid for you: I said it was happening in China, not because of Communism. I do stand by the fact that the Communists' One Child Policy is at fault for this despicable tradition reinfesting China. Call that racist. Call that whatever. But it is 100% irrefutable FACT .

    Now please, tell us all again, in the name of abject intellectual dishonesty, that female infanticide does not occur in Communist China. What part of what I said was racist or wrong? Gene Roddenberry's "Warp Speed" uses Deus Ex Machina technology to nullify time dilation and thus Captain Christopher Pike made it to the front steps of patent office first. Technically speaking, that is.

    Wrong. Overcrowded cities are dens of crime and black holes for opportunity. People drain out of big cities to small ones all the time, just ask us Californians. New lands are places of fresh opportunity and draw tons of immigrants. America is a prime example of that.

    And we have a God given right to do whatever is necessary to defend our livelihoods. What power are you proposing is available to stop us? No history book will refute that fact. We asserted our God given rights against Germany, Japan and the USSR. Who are you to say what our rights are? Are you stronger than all of them? If America gets mad enough and decides we want to keep our jobs and our middle class, what power do you have to stop them? Are you some omnipotent being that I haven't seen before, that will bring your most holy hand down and stop us?

    Yes, expect change. Expect your God given right to have our jobs suddenly disappear when our consumer market collapses due to shrinking incomes and exploding debt. Expect America to get pissed off and demand that you build your economy on your own domestic blood sweat and tears instead of taking our jobs and stolen IP to do it. Laws against offshoring are cropping up in places like Arizona and state legislatures around the country, starting with offshoring Government jobs. Next we'll be looking at the financial industry and consumer personal data.

    Is there a huge market for games that have big story lines but fewer cut scenes?
    How about nonlinear play?

    Will single player games (or 1-4 on the console) continue to thrive or is the future in MMORPG's?

    I think it comes down to a confusion of responsibility. Decades ago, people would have known that the hurricane was coming and that it would be big.     Just because people don't realize that we need NASA's huge projects, doesn't mean they are unnecessary.

    The market is all about perceived need, whereas NASA is run by scientists who have done credible research that determines what we REALLY need.

    My previous post was making fun of the "free market decides everything" crowd.. which is probably why they got back at me by modding me down as a "troll"...
