    Where did the money go in the Wall Street crash?

    Money on stock exchanges is never lost. For every seller there is always a buyer. For every investment there is a payout. It's like the conservation of energy. Money changes hands, but it can not simply vanish, like BitCoins apparently can, unless you actively destroy cash currency.

    Mostly, I agree with what you say. But I do believe that long term sleep deprivation is not healthy. I once read a believable article claiming that sleep clears the brain of waste chemicals, kind of like going to the bathroom. Without losing that waste it starts to build up and poison you.

    Other than that, it's also rather straightforward self-experience. If you feel like shit after pulling 24hrs it's probably because shit is happening to you. Just like when drinking too much alcohol.

    One of the nicest things about Jigsaw is being able to pick and package only those parts of Java that you need, potentially making your app considerably smaller, faster to load and consuming less memory, also thanks to the overdue housekeeping of breaking ancient, useless dependencies in the JRE apart.

    Yeah, that actually sucks some serious monkey balls right there. It doesn't make any sense at all for Oracle to do such a thing with something as important as the Java platform.

    There has been a petition to remove this "feature" for some time now, but despite the millions of Java developers, it never took off.

    On the contrary, I consider someone with 500 facebook friends and who is always online in facebook as superficial and without interests. If you have the time to spend 6 hours a day on facebook, I assume there's not much else going on in your life.

    Yeah, I would really like to know how this happened, because as far as I thought I knew, all BitCoin transactions are "logged" in a public "blockchain" or something, so you can actually track all transactions to their anonymous sources.

    The statement is not complete. The entire YouTube statement is as follows:

    So in it's entirety it does raise the initial impression that YouTube is good and understanding whereas GEMA is the evil empire. The reality probably lies somewhere in between.

    Like practically all conservative "think tanks", the Heritage Foundation has a serious case of confirmation bias. Love it how they scathe spending under Obama all over their site, but naturally, the fact that they were strong supporters of the Iraq war, a useless, unnecessary war which was based on now obvious lies and disinformation and cost 1.7 trillion, with long term costs of 6 trillion isn't mentioned anywhere on the site. Nope. Money gone! Obama bad! And we don't have nuttin' to do with'at! Yuppedi-diddledy-doo!

    If you're a big fan of Deus Ex, try Vampire The Masquerade: Bloodlines.

    The graphics have aged a little, and combat feels a little clunky, but other than that, it is one of the best Deus Ex -style first person RPG's in existence. A vastly underrated game. The plot is one of the best, ever. Levels and atmosphere are fantastic. Yet, you only start to truly appreciate the greatness of this game on the 2nd playthrough. I think you will get the most of the game choosing a Toreador for 1st and Malkavian for 2nd playthrough.

    Skyrim runs smoother on my PC than Oblivion. I think the engine is better optimized. You also get the occasional crash in Skyrim, but not nearly as often as in Oblivion.

    Amen brother. I'm currently on my 2nd, all mods in playthrough of Skyrim, and I'm afraid I won't be able to stop until I have explored every nook and cranny and cleared out the last mudcrab in every dungeon.
