Nowadays, there is very little difference between Democrats and Republicans in American politics. The once conservative Republican party has been hijacked by the neo-conservatives, which are basically paleo-liberals incognito. If you listen to the rhetoric of either party, the words are 90% the same. This is because a plurality of the members of both parties subscribe to the "politcially elite" beliefs of the Council on Foreign Relations.
Personally, I don't want a North American Union; I despise the IRS, the UN, and the Federal Reserve. In short, vote for Ron Paul.
Iran into a problem like this with my old apartment. I withdrew cash from my bank account, thinking that they wouldn't accept a debit/card card like my past apartment. Then I had to turn that cash into a money order before they would take it. (They did accept debit/credit cards after all.)
I came to the conclusion that it's not so much cash not being treated as a legal form of tender, but it seems places like this may have a lack of trust for their employees. If you think about it, anyone can use cash that is stolen from the till, but a check, money order, cashier's check, or credit card, can only be charged directly to the company's account. Thus, devious employees cannot obtain more than their minimum wage paychecks when large sums of money are paid for rent, security deposits, and such.
Here in Florida, it's still legal to talk on the cell phone, but the first thing police ask when an accident occurs is "Were you talking on a cell phone?" (Yes, even before asking about drugs or alcohol.) I don't think they care if you use a hands-free device or not.
My knee-jerk reaction is the same as yours, but my second thought is how satisfied I'd feel if Mike Tyson made a Punch-Out movie with Uwe Boll where Boll played the part of Little Mac.
CorelDRAW Graphics Suite is about 1/4 the cost and covers all the angles of graphics, including about a dozen color models and custom coloring. For the website side of it, Notepad works great!
I saw something interesting in a documentary several years ago. The article may mention this, but as a/.er, I did not read the article. Anyways...
The courtyard of the Pentagon is sort of a casual area for the military personnel. They can go there to relax and not have to worry about saluting any of the 100s of other individuals from various branches, regardless of rank, who happen to be strolling the grounds or sitting on benches.
During the Cold War, the Soviets had their sky satellites fixed on the position of a large US flag and the structure beneath it right in the center of the courtyard, thinking there was some kind of missile silo hidden there. In reality, they were for years targetting a hotdog stand.
Those were some excellent points. What most people don't think about as well is that this is meant to be a weekly series, so production budget (in both time and money) would not warrant photo-realism that movies made in the span of a year or two have. I was very impressed by the trailer and will most likely either watch the show as it airs or buy it on DVD later. (George Lucas is just that good at suckering me in.)
It's about time. Memory leakage is my only gripe with FireFox. I was considering shifting to Opera as my primary browser more and more. (Opera is currently my secondard for Web development testing.)

I doubt Ron Paul will be watching this one CFR propaganda.
No, he just invented the internetwork that allowed all the ATMs to connect between different banks. But we all knew that already.
Can they also work at construction sites in the off-season? If so, you have me sold.

They missed the most important Quark! Its charges are measured in latinum.
I second that!
I'm fine with watching DVDs connected to a 100in DLP projection screen over a composite cable (the Wii is taking the component slot).
Happy birthday to you!
Happy birthday to you!
Happy birthday, dear [insert name]!
Okay, I better stop before I get sued!
It sounds like you just brought up an inconvenient truth about the global warming debate.

You mean God uses a bunch of GOTOs in his code?

I'm glad I could help.
Ah, fond memories of my Tech Illustration days. I think I encountered every one of those problems, but I wouldn't have it any other way.
We get it already: /. is full of athiests who enjoy trashing Christianity! How many times must articles about this Creationist Museum be duped?

...but why not call it extension "404"?
That has to be the funniest Soviet Russia joke I've heard yet.
I couldn't find that on the about:config menu. Is that one of the hidden settings?

And Gen. Jack O'Neill should be Secretary of State.
You mean Al Gore didn't invent the Internet? Public school lied to me!

...will it explode like other Sony products? The fear of that in itself will cause me to wait for the second generation product.
