There are tonnes of (as we are told to call them) "International Students" at my school (here in Melbourne Australia), and we are not alone. They all come from Asia, and it begs the question: why do they come over to Australia to complete Year 12 and University? Is it because they can't afford it back home? Is it because it's not up to scratch? What's wrong, and why are our schools clogged with International students?
Absolutely typical of MS to play this sort of thing down.
They just don't want to admit that Vista is failing miserably.
Another question that needs to be asked: if a user tries to install Windows XP after June 30 2008, will they be able to activate it? If a user needs to reinstall Windows XP a long time after June 30 2008 because of computer problems or reformatting, will they be able to activate it?
Texas Intruments are amazing when it comes to handheld calculators.
I got one in January and use it all the time for much more then working out sums for maths.
To be honest, I don't actually mind. If the end result is a safer browsing experience, and my personal information is not isolated and used by individuals, then I support the measure. It's good to see Google working with Open Source Software initiatives.
Well this is just plain stupid. What kind of system like this has expiration dates? I bet you tonnes of people are not going to realise that their number has expired off the list, and are going to be wondering why they're now getting telemarketer calls.
The government needs some way of notifying people of this, and making it extremely easy for them to renew their number. Either that, or get rid of the expiration system altogether.
Of course they'll ignore the facts, it's what they always do. They don't give a damn about what the people want, they don't realise that we elected them to do what we want them to do, they just care about their own personal agenda.
Wireless network standards will never fully replace cables. Simple as that. It's like Audio CDs. It is now simply far too hard to get rid of them because they have been available for far too long, and trying to replace them will mean making billions of objects obsolete on the spot.
People won't stand for it.
I think this has got to be the biggest load of bulldust I've ever heard. Since when did any company make decisions on repairing the hardware (especially something like the casing) based on what software is loaded on the computer?

The more pressure we can put on the UN to do something, the better.
Tell Microsoft to get stuffed. Go with Google.

I say let them keep going. They'll end up reaping the rewards by going bankrupt in the end, because people simply aren't gonna stand for it anymore.
I think it takes a lot of moral fibre to make a stand like that Good on you
This just proves how naive so many people are about security. If people spent a little more time on it, none of this would happen.

Once again, Jack Thompson should get a life and get lost.
The day the Internet is forcibly censored will be a VERY VERY VERY sad day for the entire world.
In stead of just blasting Google, why doesn't the watchdog work with it to help remove the illegal content?
I never knew Sourceforge owned websites like this one.

This just proves that MS Win Vista is a complete waste of money and time. Honestly, 6 billion dollars for a product no one wants. MS need to get real.
Well, this just proves that Microsoft is retarded. I've never ever heard anything else like this before. It's almost as if they want Vista to fail.
Since when has that ever actually stopped anyone from pirating music and movies? These laws won't make the slightest bit of difference.

Jack Thompson should go and get stuffed. If people wish to parody him, it's his problem. He shouldn't make it the whole world's problem.
This is a win for common sense. Thank goodness.
