I agree with this as well there patents are worth the money plus another company might have an idea on what to do with this company how to restructure and bring back to life. But even if the company does not survive the patent portfolio is worth the money.
This contract does seem kind of shady and plus sounds like a college made deal its probably written in pencil on scrap paper from an old algebra test. That's not a joke when I went to college two CS majors did that for a contract. I seriously dough this will stand up in court Facebook is not going to change hands.
I agree like I said in my last post if you had the money for the phone whats the big deal about buying a case. Apple probably never realized the problems because they had the phone in a case. It should be in a case it's an expensive phone.
CR has been wrong on so many things before when it comes to computers. Not to mention Apple knows there's a problem and they are trying to fix the issue. Like they have said get a case looks nicer then duck tape and protects the phone better. If you spent that much money on an Iphone you should have the few extra dollars buy the case. At least until Apple fixes the issue.
Microsoft will defiantly put out a good tablet they know what people want and they will defiantly do a good job. But this is not really innovative. Apple was the one who took the risk putting out the Ipad. Microsoft is just going to not make the same mistakes that Apple made and use existing marketing knowledge. They are pretty much copying and remaking an existing product in the Microsoft image.
This makes a lot of sense but I don't know how you would implement this into social networking on the web. Have multiple groups of friends setting who could see what that could get to be a lot of work. Unless you had friends that are just Facebook friends then friends that were just Myspace friends. That is dependent on the other person to have a Facebook or Myspace would get kind of confusing keep all that straight. Facebook and Myspace only to name two there are hundreds of social networking sites.
I have noticed quite a few HP computers running 32 bit version of 7 with 6 gigs of RAM I thought that was kind of weird that HP would do something like that.
This is what is great about Google they offer different services to compete with Apple. Plus the whole point of creating your own apps made easy is just really cool and a great touch by Google. I think if this catches on this could be a big selling point for Google.
I really don't like these games would rather play pogo more fun and the games make sense. Plus I can use my tokens anywhere instead of just at one game.
What I wonder now is if the Data is never read again. How is the data stored? Is the data archived or sitting on drive on a server in the backroom. The other question I wonder is what data is stored there old PC specs, support documentation or HR and Customer Data. Then I wonder is 90% is never read again how secure is that data especially if the data is confidential. Just things to wonder about. This is why most companies don't leave old data laying around so they don't have to worry about storage and safety concerns.
Honestly I think Blizzard got scared. The backlash from people was really bad I think they were afraid of people dropping off battelnet and there forums because of this move. Most people did not want this because of privacy issues such as stalking and employment issues. I think the big issue was a simple Google search of your name would have brought up information that most people did not want unveiled. I do think this will get more excepted as time progresses with Facebook and social networking getting popular. I can see them trying this move again in the future by then things may change.
I agree the University does have a responsibility to make sure cheating does not happen plus the University has a reputation to maintain that the students know what there doing and are skilled at there trades. But yes in the long run cheating will not pay off because they will suffer at there jobs.
I have noticed that about the quick check-out forms. I have also had an issue where someone elses room was charged to my CC. I have also had situation where I give them the new card or a different card and they charge the one that's on file.
This is going to make it much harder for them to now push security at the conference. Plus they better have an all hands meeting with all the staff running the conference to make sure everyone's story is straight that could be terrible Public Relations for Cisco. They could turn this around and have a session about the compromised device and explain how they fixed it and give tips to the customer to avoid having the same situation happen to them. We will see how Cisco handles this.
I agree this feature could turn out to be a nightmare for a lot of people. But Google is trying to make management easier for themselves I don't blame them for that. We will see how well this works out for them.
I agree the fine is small but I have a feeling this is going to be a bigger and bigger problem for Facebook as they branch out and expand across the globe. This is not the first time Facebook has been sued or fined over privacy issues.
I never realized how popular twitter had gotten. I use twitter for blogging but that's about it. None of my friends are on twitter so I don't spend that much time on it. I like twitter it's a really cool service.
It's nice to see the plane finally able to take off some many people have worked very hard at this project and I am glad to see them finally have there success. I always like to see these history making days that you will remember forever.
I agree this is a big stretch for copyright the hilts of the lightsaber being copyrighted. Also how old is Lucas patent I really tend to agree that a judge would throw this out. We will have to wait and see what happens.
I agree most of Microsoft products anymore are aimed at the corporate market. Microsoft has a corporate image to maintain at this point. They are not going to ruin that to be cool. It's the market they picked and have been successful at dominating.

With the way Rim focus on the business market this might really take off for them especially if it integrates with blackberry enterprise server.

I figured Microsoft would do this XP SP3 is in extended life support it was only a matter of time till they dropped xp sp2 support completely.

I agree this is not breaking news. We know malicious software can steal your information for any geek this is not anything new.

I figured Google would eventually go back into China it's a growing market for the search engine industry.

I am glad there is a way to go back to the old interface that on-top tabs is a terrible feature. One thing I am happy about is the HTML5 support.
