Agree.
Relying on Quicktime thus relying on Apple was a big down fall.
I really enjoyed playing Myst until I needed to update Quicktime then it broke everything.,
After a short time could not even install Myst because it was incomparable with the version of Apples Quicktime. It was not possible to downgrade Quicktime in order to get Myst to install.
When it was working correctly the puzzle and game play were well thought out but the interface was too slow. There was a lot of waiting for the next stage of the story to be told.
Disagree about body count.
Where are the panos created of all those people moving around staring at the phone while it was vibrating around? Not shown, because they sucked! Only panos shown were avoid of any people, and nothing very close to the camera.
The Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission will begin deliberations tomorrow to determine if Bell's "bandwidth throttling" should stop immediately until government policy is set.
I don't think god thought we would be looking at it with some sort of protection when he made the universe some 8 billions years ago.
Have a C+ Friday.
I can see this being very usefully. When I was doing cross platform development, I was continually wanting to copy data between computers. But not always whole files. I would have to manually copy to to server and copy it back. This mostly meant saving the original document or file and then when opening it again coping the text or part of image that was needed out.
I had a KMV Switch. It seemed so simple at the time to just have some memory in the KMV that I could send and receive from as easily as copy and past with the key board.
A key grabber on the keyboard could do this for text, but not other data types.
Hell, I like the idea of a keyboard with about a 5 X 80 character display that I could take notes on comfortably and just plug into the computer later and copy them to. But it has been a few years since I went to school. You could not get all your books electronicaly. A laptop is worth it to drop a couple heavy text books.

Being that the parent poster was compleatly wrong.
And it is over the power line.
IMHO Being able to go anywhere in the city and have access to the internet weighs very high. Interference to ham radio weighs very low.
This just might catch on.
Currently even with film camera the photography is asked to confirm under oath the the image is an accurate picture of what was actually seen when the picture was taken.
I can't agree more. The date should always be written as YYYY MM DD when every I see a date not writen this way, and there are day is not above 12 I have no idea what order it is in.
<Rant> One of the first things I do when getting a new machine is fix the way computer dispays the date.
Everyone do it now. Go to the contol pannel, or wherever you need to, and fix it. </Rant>
Yes all work done on windows.
Max Lyons uses his own software PTAssembler to line up the images.
He does use Panotools to do the processing.
To create this image he modified Panotools to speed up the process by about 100 time.
He is using a version of Photoshop limited to 30 000 pixels wide.
and also write a number of new software programs
He describes this in the Formus on his page that I can not get to at this time.
- Time required to set control points: 2 hours
- Time required to optimize project: 2 days
- Time required to stitch project: 4 days
- Time required to blend seams / correct misalignments / finalize image: 3 days

I can not find any mention of Quick Time VR compatibility. If it can not pan around a .mov VR file then it, or the others, are of no use.
