Excusemewhat? It's the parent's job to educate and train their children. Encouraging activity and exercise falls within the purview of parental influence.
This is a Microsoft issue. If the Exchange protocol were properly open, you would have a plethora of email clients to choose from rather than just those who are bothered to go to the effort of reverse engineering.
Taking off is largely a case of punching it and waiting until enough lift is generated, landing is mostly learning a few basic techniques. There's no reason for computers not to handle this in most cases.
On the other hand, I dated a microbiologist who swore up and down that there was no way that cloning for large mammals was going to happen. That was a couple of years before Dolly. My argument was that if it can happen, it will happen (if there's a will to do it).
The problem with AI is that we really don't want to simulate a whole human brain down to the subatomic level. At this stage, that's just way too hard with the technology we have right now. But without actually doing that, there's no way (or at least it's very hard) to know what simplifications we can employ to get to where we want to be. It's a high barrier but, once crossed, things will become incredibly easy very quickly. Just look at how quickly atomic physics progressed from a solid theory to practical applications.
Would it be able to tell if the kids were bahaving in an orderly manner or pushing and shoving each other around though?
Though with that said, I'm in favor of automated systems in general. They will, overall, be safer and I think they're inevitable. Unfortunately, it'll probably mean the end of motorcycling on public roads.
And I think in "Fleet of Worlds" they work out where the generator is which would enable the destruction of a GP hull. Though that doesn't really make much sense to me.
The straw allows the force to be applied to the weight over a long distance - F=ma, v=at. With the bottle, once the bottle is burst, the energy dissipates rapidly. This is why bombs are typically chemical in nature and you don't see suicide bombers running around with footpumps.
Basic point is that the AT&T exclusivity contract has also apparently been a hindrance to AT&T getting decent android phones. I'd love a Droid but not on Verizon. I'm probably going to end up going t-mobile and buy an unlocked GSM droid.
Very much this. There's a lot of stuff you can do with smart design in single threads and you can avoid a bunch of overhead too. Which is not to dis multi-threading at all.
You know, this is often trotted out as an indictment of Bush but I think he actually made a very narrow escape from something much worse. Can you imagine what people would have done with a clip of Bush saying "Shame on me"?
Whenever I see him saying what he did say, I kind of imagine a smart adviser's voice screaming through his earpiece "DONT SAY 'SHAME ON ME'. DO NOT SAY 'SHAME ON ME'!".
I agree. I ride a motorcycle and love it but the writing's on the wall for manually controlled transport on public roads. Likely there will be reserves and parks where you can ride or drive for fun but the benefits of automated control make the switchover inevitable. It makes about as much sense to be turning a steering wheel as it does to be retarding the ignition manually these days.
Perhaps. On the other hand, they've just managed to pass a vastly unpopular (and IMO very damaging) health care bill. This guy is the commander-in-chief of the armed forces. Although I have no horse in the race (not military, not gay), it seems to me he could have had this all cleared up *very* quickly if he was actually interested in getting it done rather than just cynically using the gay community as an easy source of votes.
The war on drugs (something that is a huge blight on the black community that helped Obama to power) is no doubt a little more difficult but steps could be taken. Not a whisper.
Anyone who votes Democrat or Republican is a dupe these days (except in very rare circumstances). Whatever your political orientation, please take a serious look at third parties.
Bastard child of capitalism and socialism more like. Worst of all worlds.

"Sandwich" is named after a person and not a place. And most stuff labeled as "cheddar" in the US is shit. So both bad examples.
Paul Hogan was pretty amusing when he had his own comedy show. Blame Hollywood for the movies.
That's more of a US thing When I lived in the UK, I don't recall ever seeing the grape variety named on the bottle.
Ug. Reply was supposed to be to original poster.

Sucks to buy Microsoft.

Probably a great way of getting rid of 100 mimes in "traffic accidents" too.
I'm pretty sure we don't let pilots just get their license after one exam and keep it forever.
You're wrong. Though there are periodic medicals and checkouts that are required to keep flying on that license.
I though "technology" on a Harley Davidson meant the round thing at the front and the round thing at the back.

Grr. Slashdot lost my comment.

At least it wasn't wasted then.
It's not necessary to use herbs, spices or condiments with food either. Have fun with your plain potato language.
Yes. That's exactly the point.

Well dang then. I just paid $20 for portal a couple of months ago. Worth every penny though.
"You assholes"? Watch your assumptions. I didn't vote for him.
