But they should be using AppleTVs in that case instead, which is a better comparison. How much is it to add on wifi, ir receiver / remote, and 8gb of flash to the Raspberry Pi? The cost is about the same and while the Raspberry Pi has a better GPU, the AppleTV has a much better CPU.

You can do this with MPEG-2 already. I can shove 4-5 2 hours movies on a standard Single-Layer DVD that plays in my son's $99 Wal-mart portable DVD player. I'm sure the quality isn't great, but you can't really tell the difference on a 7" screen in the back of the car anyways.

The casino actually wants people who deviate away from basic strategy and increase their bets when they "think" the count is favorable but is actually off by just 1 or 2.
In highschool, my friend had a 486SX2-50 with 8mb of ram. It ran WFWG 3.11 and Doom wonderfully. Then he put a copy of the brand-y new Win95 on it and it was like frozen molasses in January, he then picked up a 4mb stick of RAM for some obscene amount of money at the time ($100 maybe?), bringing the total to 12mb and then it quite usable, amazingly.
