Press the "Menu" button on your remote control to go straight to the main menu to tweak whatever settings. Or hit Stop twice and then Play to go straight to the movie using default settings.
As a biased observer (cg animator), I'd say that realistic animation and exaggerated animation both have valuable roles to fill. In a live-action movie, you don't want the CG to look like CG, so you want realism, but in a Toy Story, or an Ice Age, etc. you would be bored to tears with realistic animation. Imagine how lame bugs bunny would be if he could only do what an actor against a blue screen could do. Could only portray the amount of emotion an actor with locator dots on his face could show. There's going to be a place for realism and for exaggeration.
...also, the factory worker would receive unemployment aide if the factory laid him off. This would greatly assist his getting an alternative education or moving to another city to get a similar job.
No, p.s. stands for "post script", so p.p.s. would be "post post script" or the script following the post script, where p.s.s. would be "post script script" which would be an autosig generator.
They went with Fraunhofer. That ain't bad. I think at the time they went with it, it was one of the best out there, and now they have a financial stake in it. Why not switch to a free and better encoder? *shrug* I don't know. The only point I had to make in all this was to point out that I can get mp3s from my CDs (using MusicMatch) in less than half the time it takes me to use EAC and then use Lame, and with far fewer steps, all using a single program... which is very attractive to someone new to ripping CDs (like I was).
So no, Lame isn't "that slow", but the combination of EAC and then Lame is much slower than just using MusicMatch. It's the difference, perhaps, between buying a pre-assembled computer from Compaq, and assembling one for yourself. Building it yourself, you'll end up with a better product for less price, but you'll need more expertise and it'll take more time.
It's the extra steps (and knowledge) required in the EAC / Lame solution that make it suited for a more advanced user than MusicMatch. Also, MusicMatch gives you an mp3 much more quickly. So, it's speed and ease of use vs free and high quality.
It's not a bug that Music Match doesn't produce as high a quality mp3 as EAC and Lame. It's called "selling to your market". MusicMatch isn't marketed to the EAC / Lame market (i.e., free and high quality), it's marketed to the non-geek-but-still-want-mp3s crowd. I used MusicMatch for a good long while and really enjoyed how easy it was to use. Stick a CD in, tell it to record, and then listen to your mp3s. I loved it. Then I found out about EAC and Lame and am going back and re-ripping my CDs. I don't think any less of MusicMatch now that I've switched over, I would still recommend it to my sister or a friend.
You can turn the nag feature off.
Are you actually complaining about a deliberate limitation of a non-registered piece of SHAREWARE? This last point is obviously troll... maybe your whole post is, too, but I'll give you the benefit of the doubt on your first two points.
The thing that makes taking the bus bad for me is the walk to the busstop, the ride with various persons of various desirability, and the walk to work from the busstop (and back). What if I could use this scooter to get to the busstop, but instead of a bus, there would be another machine that my scooter would connect to, along with 30 other people and their scooters. All of us would then go the next 30 miles connected to this machine at 90 mph (or 120 mph, whatever) because this other machine has a preset, dedicated route and doesn't have to worry about other traffic. What about my hair at 120 mph? Ok, so this 2nd machine has covered compartments for each scooter/passenger with adjustable heating, music, etc.
Perhaps this 2nd machine has a Stirling Engine. Now when you arrive at your destination, you use your scooter to get the last block or two to your office and put it in the rack with everyone else's and go to work. No more rush hour, no more red lights. Why should the scooter be the whole story? I wouldn't want to ride this thing across town, either. Afterall, it's called a Segway. Kinda like a subway, but in segments.
Whatcha think? If you think it's stupid, come up with a better idea.
I think you write with TWO lasers, and the whole point is for it to be transparent. That way each laser can penetrate the substance and intersect at some point within the substance to record a bit. If it wasn't transparent, you could only write to the surface.
I've got a pair of NoiseBuster headphones. I got it from Brookstone/Sharper Image/whatever several years ago. They work great. I've always wanted to be able to plug them into a stereo so that I didn't have to have headphones on my head. Any ideas how to do this? The headphones are hardwired into the NoiseBuster block and there is no other audio out.

You are assuming that their GUI-boy isn't learning anything more about maintaining his system. I'm betting that he is learning.
Besides, why throw a Network Admin God at every network? For many networks, you don't need someone on the payroll that knows everything about everything. Because you can contract them when you need them. The full-time guy only needs to keep the system running most of the time. Right?
Yes, I'm clueless about network adminning. I'm just speaking from logic.
I've been running the Folding@Home console (text) version under Windows for the past couple months with no problems. So this is pretty much a "me too" post.
I think he means going to a voting booth at a registered voting location, and using their computer (connected to the internet), rather than the current analog methods. I don't think he was referring to voting from home.
Where are you getting your 700,000 number from? I got just under 600,000 from CNN.com. References are appreciated when presenting facts. And, I still don't know what percentage 600,000 or 700,000 ballots is of the full national tally. Were there 6 million votes cast? 60 million? 700,001? Distinct, referenced figures are appreciated. Otherwise it's just me making numbers vs you making up numbers.

...you mean .CA, right?
Did you manage to mod yourself on this one? Insightful? You are simply a loud moron that doesn't understand mild sarcasm.

Does anyone know whether non-US A/V vendors (like Panda) will detect this virus? Might be a great time for them to advertise this.

Ok, cool reply. Thanks. But wouldn't it be interesting to hear what the opposite waveform of your favorite song is?

Linus wasn't talking about Mundie's body odor. He was talking about the psychological halitosis coming from Mundie's mouth.
