  1. Re:Needless flamebait on The Duke Is Finally Back, For Real · · Score: 1

It's possible people would read "Duke Nukem 3D" and assume it must be the "Forever" game, because that's the only Duke Nukem they're aware of.

I can't be the only one who still thinks of the original Duke Nukem when I see the name....

You mean the original "Duke Nukum," no?

"Metre" is mispronounced by any English-speaking person using it. If the "e" is after the "r" then say it that way.

Kilometry: the science of measuring things greater than about six tenths of a mile long.

Valve's Orange Box had a lot of additional game content that I had already paid for.

    1. I'd pay $30 for the two new single player games. TF2 is of no use to me.

    2. I won't pay $.01 to EA for it or any other game until they've patched out the bugs they patched into the last game I bought from them (SimGolf, it'll never happen), so I'll only buy it online through Steam.

    3. It leaves me wondering if I'll have to buy all the old stuff yet again to get the new content when Episode 3 comes out, so I have to wait for that, too.

    >> If I buy a game, and it won't work on my system, I am screwed.

So you don't pirate games with demos, then?

Where's the web site listing which demos are using the actual code of the finished game, but with parts cut out, as opposed to being beta code or something entirely different that just looks like the game?

I mean, I actually downloaded that free piece of carp from Nine Inch Nails a while back, thinking there'd be music in it. Even if I didn't like it, I could give it to someone who did. Haven't found that person yet.

That would make sense. No. They want it pronounced "cool," but they probably say that word "kewel." In any case, it doesn't mean "cool," and looks more like it should be pronounced like "quill."
