Lori Drew should be publicly horsewhipped! I don't care if she used an alias, the fact that she, a 49 year old woman messed with the mind of an ill 13 year old is wrong on more levels than I can delineate. In fact I could make her punishment significantly worse. The only mitigation that I can possibly envision is that she herself is also mentally ill. She certainly demonstrates that she shares the mental age of her victim. In that case as good thrashing is what is in order...just like what you do to other delinquent kids.

Actually I have one client where the quality of power there is shitty and I can tell you that, even though it's counterintuitive, a power failure usually fucks up most cheap routers (and mini switches too) and the fix is always...wait for it...cycling the power again.

I've used a number of different wireless routers as access points and the most stable by far have been the Apple Airports. Linksys, D-Link...they all suck by comparison.

That way you're guaranteed the best and most precise twistiness for your twisted pairs.

See, they don't tell you that in the ad because it's a trade secret. The other cables are just twisted by a machine or something, thus the mundane pricing. Even if they were twisted out of 6 foot tall blond virgins' pubic hair, it's still not worth it!

  13. Volume licenses on Ballmer Says Vista Selling Really Well · · Score: 4, Insightful

I bought volume licenses of Vista. Of course I promptly installed XP on all the boxes the licenses were for.
Same goes for Server 2008. I bought a Server 2008 open license edition and promptly installed server 2003. I needed it for an accounting app, but I wasn't going to install 2008...I don't trust it. Besides, servers should NEVER require activation or validation! EVER! That's a deal-breaker IMO.
(Don't worry, that server 2003 instance is only a VM running on a linux box.)
So what have we learned? That just because their FUCKED UP licensing model REQUIRES you to buy the new license in order to use the older, more functional versions doesn't mean that the product is a success. That ambulatory heap of festering dogshit that calls itself "Steve Ballmer" really has nothing to crow about.
