I stopped working full time in Dec 2000 and haven't looked back. Now I work approx 2-3 days/ week and charge $75/hour to do the same things I was doing for about one third that while I was working full time. The companies are happy because even though the service is pricey, it is less costly for them than having someone on full time. Hint: Look for the smaller shops...the ones that can't really justify having somebody there full time. They're your best prospects.
How about if I need food I walk in your house and raid your fridge? Or if I need to go somewhere I steal your car. Does that sound any different than "I want to hear a song, let me download it wihout paying?"
It's vastly different. A more accurate analogy would be if I had a replacator device and replicated the food in your fridge, rather than buying it at the grocery store. File sharing is NOT stealing...it's UNAUTHORISED COPYING.
People create entertainment and DO NOT deserve to be ripped off.
Agreed. They are also NOT entitled in a free market society to guaranteed profits. They are not gods, they are not our saviors, they are not offering a solution for world peace or feeding the hungry or curing disease, they are MERELY ENTERTAINERS and if we happen to like the performance, we might feel inclined to throw them a few coins for their troubles. They are definitely not entitled to cripple technological innovation in order to secure profits for themselves. If the creators of Britney-slut don't like that then they should find something else to do.
Like all Terminators, Kristanna Loken WILL arrive naked.

...can be found here. Note that they don't say a goddamn thing about requiring presidential approval.
"Well, the--I suppose the toughest decision was this question of whether or not we would intercept incoming commercial aircraft...Yes. The president made the decision...that if the plane would not divert...as a last resort, our pilots were authorized to take them out. Now, people say, you know, that's a horrendous decision to make. Well, it is. You've got an airplane full of American citizens, civilians, captured by...terrorists, headed and are you going to, in fact, shoot it down, obviously, and kill all those Americans on board...It's a presidential-level decision, and the president made, I think, exactly the right call in this case, to say, "I wished we'd had combat air patrol up over New York."" - Dick Cheney

First of all I am NEVER going to use DHCP to assign a server an IP, Windows or Linux. Secondly, most of the new distros (as well as Windows) are able to configure a NIC to use DHCP (or it'll ask you what IP to use) during the install, providing that it's one that they have drivers for. In fact of the two, the Linux networking config seems the more reliable. I always do the networking config on a Windows server AFTER the install is completed as the installer usually manages to screw it up somehow and I wind up reconfiguring it anyway.

No...you do a screen capture of some important looking shit and use the "set as wallpaper" function!
At least for Symantec. When you buy a retail copy of Norton AV, you get updates for a year. That's it. If you want to continue getting signature updates, you need to pay again.
Or you can blow out all of the Symantec registry keys and reinstall!
I would think that given that the moon landings happened during the height of the cold war, the Soviets would have been watching them very closely and would've been all over them like a bad stink if they could've even come close to demonstrating that the moon landings were faked. By the same token, if you were NASA, would you put your and your country's "face" on the line by staging such a stunt and risking discovery?
That is pretty much my tale as well.
