The two examples that come to my mind but weren't in this article are the infamous "minus world" from Super Mario Brothers 1.
The other one is the Test Area in Zelda: Windwaker. Linky here... http://www.zeldaelements.net/9testrooms.shtml
I have never personally experienced either.
Agreed. We had one of those libretto's at work and it was definitely not cheap. The novelty of it was amazing though. At some point we tried to load XP on it but it just choked. Windows 2000 installed fairly well though.
I wonder if it is still around. I'd like to give Ubuntu a try on it.
I have dropped a plain old Latitude D630 while it was powering on from approx. 4 feet up and it didn't miss a beat. It even got whacked on the end of a table on its way down.
This is all fascinating and everything but the masses really want to know what ever happened to that halo they used to have around the puck in NHL games?
Why would this take 2 years? Can't they put a team on it and crank something out in a month or two? In two years I'll have already discarded three more handsets.
Windows 2000 was overshadowed by XP too early in its lifetime. It will run on almost any hardware and it's fast. I put it on a tiny Toshiba Libretto back in the day when XP literally choked on it and I also put it on an 800 MHz Fujitsu Lifebook when XP ran like a dog.
It still used Cartridges which meant less loading times than optical media. Goldeneye brought my family together like no thanksgiving dinner could.
On my PS1, the word Loading flashed across the scoreboard in Madden 98 eighteen times before I could play a game. Waaaay worse than waiting for Windows XP to load on an old PC.;)
This sounds a lot like all the flavors they offer Windows in. You can pony up extra cash to activate the extra cores. What's next, a Core 2 'Ultimate' CPU? This could work for game consoles as well. Buy some points cards and apply them towards more CPU speed and increase your framerates.
Do you really think someone who is willing to hijack a plane and then fly it into a skyscraper doesn't already have a poker face? I'm also sure the would-be terrorists already travel regularly so they be well accustomed to the different facets of airport security.
First it's facial expressions, next it will be the thought police.

The only question is whether or not it indeed had a Human father and a Cylon mother.

How does $2050 minus $800 come out to $1300? You gotta do simple math to get your good deal.
How about Dual Screens, Dual Cameras, expandable memory, clamshell design. Not to mention the thing plays DS GAMES!
I think Mr. Fantastic made a pretty lame speech to an Army dude about how being a nerd got him the hot chick.

Every Autumn, my brothers and I get into a nice acorn fight at Grandma's house in North Jersey. There was no shortage of ammunition this year.
This may be how it begins. We could all de-evolve starting tonight!

Perfection is always just out of reach.
I walk with a limp. Does that constitute abnormal behavior according to this software?
News Flash... Smellevision replaces Television!
The record isn't how many downloads, but rather how many slashdot articles there can be about the same friggin subject.

I bet WOW patches are high ranking.

Wasn't there a similar situation where MS crippled Netscape so people would be more likely to use Internet Explorer?
Or maybe these 'genetic' diseases aren't really genetic at all but caused by an environmental factor.
