Ballmer has sat twiddling his thumbs and ignored online search, online advertising, social networking, the digitisation of the music industry, portable music players, mobile telephony, and the tablet market. Now I ain't no computar genious, but I hear some companies have filled those gaps and are making good money.

    have you ever tried replacing components in a Mac Pro? I ask rhetorically of course, because if you had, you wouldn't say such rubbish.

    In thirty years of replacing computer components I have never had an easier platform to work with than a Mac Pro.

    Hell no. They haven't even made a dent in the BILLION-DOLLAR writedown that they had to eat thanks to the RROD fiasco.

    The Xbox is arguably the greatest turkey in the history of the technology industry. I can't think of another product that's failed to such an extent.

    It does. That's why the top-selling phones in the USA are, in order, the iPhone 4S, the iPhone 4, and the iPhone 3G. That's why profits in the mobile industry are divided into Apple's 75% and everyone else scrabbling over the remaining 25%.
