Potentially it can keep going until the size of a transistor is just a few electrons across but as we get closer to that point quantum teleportation becomes more of an issue. This is cool video that explain some basic stuff about transistors and the end of Moore's Law. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rtI5wRyHpTg
Most likely they're not lying. It's not built for advertising. The fact that they will be able to use it for advertising is just incidental. Personally I will not buy a Kinect. If they want to try to sell me a Xbone without a Kinect there may be a chance of me buying it shortly before hell freezes over.
With all the small gov't Tea Party blather out there it's nice for Americans to be reminded that gov't is a tool, and one they depend on. I for one don't want to see EPA regulation, anti-slavery and usury laws, OSHA Safety and FDA regulations go away.
Maybe if the shutdown goes on long enough people will start to miss government. But I doubt in the short term that a small number of websites used by a small number of people is going to have any impact on how people view government. In fact the more people will probably think something like "the government shut down and everything is just fine why do we need so much government".
I've watched a bunch of stuff (indie-game the movie, Interviews, ext.) with Tommy Refenes and Honestly if I trust anyone's opinion on input it's him. Doesn't mean he couldn't be wrong but if he says it works well that's a pretty good sign to me.
Jonathan Blow is considered the father of the current indie game craze after the success of Braid. Having played Braid it's quite good. The Witness is a 3D rendered game Myst wasn't much more than a cleaver series of pictures. The art style and basic game play concept are both inspired by Myst. I've actually had several friends say "this looks like Myst" when I've sent them some screenshots and the trailer. Did you even watch the PS4 trailer? It will be released on PS4/PC/iOS simultaneously with the possibility for other consoles coming later. Lastly the PS3/360 are almost 8 years old it really isn't that much of a stretch to say that mobile devices outperform them.
Now if evolution could somehow weed out people who fail to empathize with those whom they disagree with we'd be set... and yes, I realize the irony/hypocrisy of this statement.
Sorry I didn't make this very clear. What I was saying was neural networks are designed to learn just like humans. So they learn just a generally as humans. Language is just the most logical place to start teaching robots for numerous reasons.
There's an element of faith to science. It's not quite the same as religion but it's still there. Vsauce did a great video on "how do you know" just this week check it out.
That is exactly what neural networks are attempting to do. It's just the first thing we're teaching these neural networks to understand is us, specifically language/writing. Which when you think about it is the most logical place to start. Humans have already been organizing information into writing for a millennium computers are already hooked up to the biggest archive in history (the internet). There's a lot of useful information for computers to start learning with and its probably the easiest way for us to learn how best to make them learn.
It gets a bit louder not to the point that it's too bothersome. My mobo is a GIGABYTE GA-Z77X-UD5H all I did to it when I built my system is upgraded the firmware and configure boot options. Thanks for the tip on the the cooler I was considering the Noctua NH-D14 which is a bit more pricey but if it keeps my chip from frying it'll be worth it.
I'm testing it right now and I'm getting 98C as my max which is a bit more than I'm comfortable with. I think I may have seen it a bit higher before. This is the first rig I've put together by myself so it's possible I may have done something wrong. I've heard that the 3770 runs hot that's why I bring it up.
How hot do these chips get. I have to throttle my (not overclocked) 3770k when I do media encodes because it gets too damn hot. I've been meaning to get a better cooler I just haven't gotten around to it.
I apologize in advance if this is a stupid question. What if you had a separate battery on the charger itself? It could sit there 24/7 slowly building up charge then when you needed to transfer that power to your phone/laptop/whatever you wouldn't even need the grid.
The reason I wanted multiarch for arm is that I've been trying to set up a Minecraft server which require will require armhf java for performance reasons. I also wanted to run it over Hamachi for security and some other reasons I won't go into. But yeah if the software is open source someone is going to compile it for both and in that case it's kind of pointless.
Will we be getting a multiarch build (armhf+armel) of this one? I found some info that said there would be multiarch for x86 (64-bit+32-bit) but I can't find anything for arm.
I suspect you're trolling but just in case you're not. The important thing about 3D printers is not how they're currently being applied but how they could be applied. I personally have zero interest in 3D printing in it's current state. I also probably wouldn't have been interested in computers in the 80s. The thing to understand is the technology will progress to the point where you can print just about anything in a 3D printer (a car, an assault rifle, medicine or even entire buildings). At that point everything can 1. Be built for the cost of the materiel its made and 2. Can be designed in an open source fashion. This will fundamentally change the way we look at things similarly to how the internet changed the way we think about ideas.
It does say beta so don't expect it to run perfectly. Really this is /. I shouldn't have to explain that.
That's easy you have a dirty mind.

Not siding with MPAA but the U.S. dollar is imaginary money.

This guy has some of the most constructive criticism I've heard for the prequels. Seriously if you're reading this JJ hire this guy as a Co-writer.

I'm surprised no one has brought up Jonathan Blow's upcoming game The Witness it's heavily influenced by Myst. Check it out.

Who Ever smelt it dealt it. Mystery solved.
Time for Seagate to make some real hard drives that spin at 20000 RPM
I hear the 20000 RPM drives cut roast beef extra thin.

How long after that will he get carpal tunnel and have to start speaking again?

Because most places have the same internet they had 10 years ago.
