This isn't a flaw its a feature you see the big publishers now own the copyright to "anything that sound like rap". Universal was the only publisher excluded from this copyright.
I've been wondering when/. would do a story on this. I've been using Iron as my secondary browser for when something doesn't work in Firefox. If you want more stable version of Chromium that protects your privacy better than Chrome Iron is a pretty good option.
I see post in similar veins as yours all the time on/. they stem from the fact that we're nerds. Nerds by definition have difficulties understanding other humans. Nerds combine numbers and facts to give us an understanding of value. This is not the way most people think. Most people make decisions and assign value based upon emotions.
Not only that but when you think about it "what UI is best" is a very opinionated thing in of itself. How many people people here despise unity despite the fact that it's very clearly much more simple from an end user perspective. What's the point of having a faster CPU/GPU in a smartphone; you can only fit so much data in 3 to 5 inch screen; you can play fairly robust 3D games on a 3GS. Most people don't even know what specs their phones have. Next time you see someone on the street with an iPhone ask them what CPU their iPhone uses.
Having said all this over time there probably will be a decline in iPhone sales but there's a big difference between that and a bubble.
It probably is just paranoia. The reason for a bubble is prices no longer represent real world value. Contrary to the popular opinion on/. a lot of people like their iPhones which gives them value. So unless for some reason people stop liking their iphones (which seems unlikely) there's no bubble here.
At first they said 1 million dollars. When everyone laughed at such a small number they said 1-thousandzilliongillionbazillion yen. Then said we do need an actual number so they settled on 500 million.
100mbps connection isn't that expensive if you're in the right area. On that connection (assuming you have the computing power on the other end) you could have near real time processing even at the bit rates you're talking about. This is a really good and interesting solution for their problem.
The reason why were only in the %50 right now is because Obama contrary to popular belief lowered them to a 20 year low. For the full article its attached to see here it's a pretty interesting read.
The problem is that voting gives you the illusion of choice. If you vote for a party candidate you're just choosing which hole you want to get fucked in. If you choose a third party candidate you're throwimg your vote in the garbage.
Wow you know this country's in the toilet when you see comments expecting the government to ruin a good thing. 200 years ago we fought for lower taxes with representation. The irony is that now we don't have proper representation and we have some of the highest taxes in the world.
After the first movie my parents got me the books for Christmas. I was 12 at the time and I'm actually pretty proud of the fact that I made it just past Tom Bombadil.
The question, however, is how much people care. Gamers don't seem to realize that most people don't give two shits about MP games, and there probably aren't many gamers living in rural areas anyway, as 20-somethings generally live in metro areas.
Yeah but there are still a lot of 11-18 year olds still living with mom and dad.
I think "many" is overstating it. Nearly all of the pickup trucks I see don't have so much as a scratch in the bed, and probably 75% of the SUVs have never been shifted into 4WD.
What you're loading might not be stuff that would scratch the bed. Even if you are loading stuff that would scratch the bed if you're semi-careful when you're loading the bed won't be scratched (as it's designed with that in mind). It wouldn't surprise me if you were right about the 4WD thing as most of the time it's not a very useful feature you can't go that fast when it's enabled it's mainly for driving off road or when it's icy. I find it odd that you would even bring the 4WD thing up as it uses way more gas and is a safety feature. Isn't "everyone should be using less gas" your whole point?
Ya know the reason why many people drive SUVs has nothing to do with the fact that they're "self-indulgent rich dicks". It has to do with the fact that they need to move more than just their fat ass around town. For example they might need to move their fat ass children or they might be moving their fat ass along with all their construction equipment to a work site. I'm not contesting the fact that they're all fat.
I haven't seen that many non-handicap people parked in those spots now though I may have some observation bias. Like I said in my OP I don't think I can really argue against someone making the point that many more people would park in handicap parking spots if there weren't fines (and I was in no way saying that businesses would hand out any fines). I was making the point that it's kind of an interesting observation about human nature. I do agree with P&T's point that government mandated kindness is a stupid idea (though that's looking at the world through a very idealistic lens).
It's been a long time since I've seen the P&T episode about handicap parking but as I remember it was a fairly interesting episode. As I remember their point was that there should be handicap parking spaces but there shouldn't be government mandates telling you if you park there you should get a $500+ fine. Businesses should make handicap parking spaces because they want the business of handicap people, people shouldn't park there because that's kind of a dick move. If you think people to big of assholes to not park there without government mandates it'd be hard for me to argue with you. Either way still an interesting point.

They weren't x-rays they were z-rays but z is just as good as x in fact better.

Gnome 2 had time travel but they removed it because the UI was too clunky.

I use firefox because my plugins make the web a much nicer place to be.
I'm not sure that's right maybe we should get some Nazis to fact check that.

To state that he is stating the obvious would be stating the obvious so much so that the title of your post should be the same as mine.
It seems to work pretty well for Linux development.
Why wouldn't we be did Apple pull the popcorn app?

My first thought was the same. My second thought was "the post is a lie!!!".
Creative Commons/GPL may be pro-copyright but they're also pro-copy and that's what's important.
