Ubuntu 14.04 still only plays at 10 FPS in full screen mode. Bastards. Every streaming video site *except* YouTube plays flawlessly in full screen mode.
But Bill O'Reilly awarded himself the Peabody a few years ago; that's a very prestigious journalism award. I think that counts as positioning yourself as a journalist.
Please don't bin the stuff, it's horribly contaminant to the environment. Recycle it through your local electronics recycler, in Portland we have a non-profit called Free Geek that will even work to give it a second life before it gets tossed. - www.freegeek.org
First - if it's working correctly you shouldn't even notice it.
Second, Sanyo has been doing this for a few years in their projectors. The yellow panel helps warm up the color range and keep your tv's backlight from getting too far in the blue range.

Pretty sure there's a Linux driver for it somewhere, too lazy to look. I'm also too lazy to see if someone else already mentioned this idea.
I would never presume to give up our nuclear submarines! I was inferring that Stealth Technology is is too dangerous!
We need all the nukes we can get to fend off the enemy. However, if we hide all of our nukes, how will the enemy even know we have them? I say show them off!!
By the way, the entire idea of my post was intended with the utmost sarcasm. Don't turn me into a troll!
Maybe if they weren't in super stealth mode they would have seen each other and the accident could have been avoided. This technology is too dangerous and needs to be outlawed through international treaty.
The up side is that we know that stealth works!!
"one of the most pointless ads in history" seems appropriate from the guy who starred in the self admittedly "Show about nothing"

Isn't it ironic...
I went to the "response" page listed and what did I see? Two screencaps from Priates of the Carribean. That is porperty owned by Disney, did Cliffsky get copyright approval to post those images on his "response to piracy" page?
Is he no better than the very pirates he is trying to appease?
Seems more like a crowdsourced solution finder to me. Fermilab probably couldn't figure out some super-secret sequence of genes or something. They posted an analogous problem publicly and watch what people come up with, then apply it to the real problem secretly.
Good time and labor saver, that is!
Maybe they're sending it upstream?
Or Canonical is worried that their distro's popularity over Debian (no insult intended) means that they should take matters into their own hands and they don't feel that they have the time to wait for something to come downstream.
Or the patch is readily available/accessible and they could update their packages to reflect what will be coming from Debian.
Got up this morning, booted the machine and got a software update first thing: OpenSSH (et al) updates for my Ubuntu Gutsy install. Then I show up over here and see why.
Presumably Feisty and Hardy got them as well - they are listed on the Ubuntu announcement.

Rooting your phone is free, as are several tethering apps in the Android market. If you are already paying for data on your phone, why not use it.

Does this mean they can now recharge their iPhones on the Sabbath? They just can't use their iPhones.
I wonder if Amazon has a "1-Click Ordering" system in place for patent licensing fees.

Yeah, that's a nickname that's going to take off...
http://www.phoronix.com/scan.php?page=article&item=steam_confirmation&num=1 It's old, but talk of Steam coming to Linux has been going around in a number of places.

No, but replacing bad keys with good ones is now an option...
