Logically, the next question is if ZFS' 128 bits is enough. According to Bonwick, it has to be. "Populating 128-bit file systems would exceed the quantum limits of earth-based storage. You couldn't fill a 128-bit storage pool without boiling the oceans."
So, what was the point of creating a 128-bit filesystem?
But you do get ugly situations, such as the children who were accidentally killed by an army vehicle (kids do play in the street there, and the roads are frequently way too narrow)
If the streets are too narrow, SLOW THE FUCK DOWN.
I suppose the multiple rapes of young girls in Okinawa was their fault, too.
If you tried to introduce something like that where I work, within three days it'd be called the "Team Balls" and it'd go to the person who'd pissed off the manager the most recently.
Most recipes are designed for women, and their funny way of looking at the world. These are very different and instantly understandable for tech geeks like us.
OK, I'm not going to bother reading the comments any further, because with an intro like that the discussion is going to take approximately 300 microseconds to implode into a "Oh, so women can't be geeks?" + "Huh, huh, he said 'women'" flamefest.
No, you don't. I've bootstrapped an entire environment (from gcc to emacs, vim and fluxbox) on a Solaris box using the Sun development tools (Sun's cc, make, etc.), without root.
On a Linux box it would be even easier, as almost everything would compile out of the box.
Probably, as well as the creators of Wnn (at least the free versions, up to Wnn4).
Without them, Linux/*BSD would never have been as popular in Japan as they are now.
Of course, since they're pretty vital pieces of functionality, you could take the view that somebody would have written a similar program if they didn't exist... but these guys actually did it.
For the record, they are (list incomplete and in no particular order):
Bollocks. I remember reading Christopher Priest's "The Glamour" in the mid-80s, and if you take a look at his chronology, you'd see he's been published since the 60s.
I find Wikipedia to be most useful in the field in which traditional encyclopedias are weakest; pop culture. There's thousands of pages in Wikipedia dealing with up-to-the-minute descriptions of cultural phenomena that won't make it into the Britannica for years, if ever.

-1, Marketing Hype.
*Yawn*
So you've got sixty-ton vehicles driven down narrow streets by people who can't see where they're going, and you still say it's the kids' fault?

Hey, here's a deal - why don't you supply the 150 million?
Thanks,
Japan and South Korea
The result of which being a giant cloud of fallout drifting across South Korea and Japan.
Nice way to piss off your allies, genius.
So? You guys have been at it for over fifty years.w

I give your "boss" a life expectancy of approximately zero.
Apshai... now there was a game. I could never get past the invisible vampires, though. Cartridge on the C64, as well, so no saving.

The point he was trying to make was that
dmesg | grep Donald Becker
will get you:
grep: Becker: No such file or directory
The correct way to do it would be
dmesg | grep "Donald Becker"

I'm holding out for "More Bad Taste".
I've never read that series - what made you feel it was "too much"?

I've got a similar problem - the DVI output doesn't provide any signal (I'm using a DVI-VGA adapter).
However, in my case there's no signal from poweron (as in zilch - no BIOS, no nothing). Very annoying.
Even better, see the live-action movie directed by Takashi Miike.
I'm amazed he was able to keep it so faithful to the original manga...
What did you think was wrong with the ending?
Ah, apologies - "Adolescence Mokujiroku", rather.
That's "Zettai Unmei Mokujiroku" - Absolute Fate Revelations.
every Anime film I have ever seen has had some sort of morally/socially disturbing scene
Yeah, that really sucks. I sure prefer my animated features to be two hours of mindless pap with zero mental stimulation.
