Now I'm curious... People keep bringing up the size of construction materials, but does the rest of the world really have 48" wide sheets of drywall? Because I'd assume they'd make them a conveniently round number in centimeters. Couldn't you have 90cm sheets of drywall and drive your drywall screws every 30cm?
There are often group purchases on fundable.org, where groups of solo web designers pool their money to purchase a group subscription as if they were a larger company. $40 gets you one year of premium access, and it's not against BrowserCam's TOS, in fact they're aware of the practice and apparently have no problem with it.
There are a few spots left on this group purchase, and if you miss that one, another one is sure to pop up soon.
I've been using Dreamstime.com quite a bit lately. Their site is not quite as polished as istocksphoto's, but their prices are lower and you'll see many of the same photos.
Cool. Thanks for the detailed explanation. I thought it might have something to do with the IP address, but I wouldn't have figured out that decimal to hex to decimal conversion. Thanks Again!
Offtopic, I know, but can someone explain how the URL in the parent's sig works? How does http://3338121056 resolve to hick.org? I googled, but coludn't find any info...
PHP stands for PHP: Hypertext Preprocessor. This confuses many people
because the first word of the acronym is the acronym. This type of acronym is
called a recursive acronym. The curious can visit Free
On-Line Dictionary of Computing for more information on recursive acronyms.

609 pages with Linux info isn't so bad, when you consider Google only shows 878 "relevant pages". Not one link to MSN in those 878 pages. Anyone care to look through the 58,499,222 omitted entries?

10 toast related posts in the last 24 hours. Anonymous Toaster will have to be pretty creative to keep up that pace without getting on everyone's nerves (hot grits, anyone?) Anyway, that's what keeps things interesting around here:)
The housing market's in for the same troubles as Social Security, from the same source: the Baby Boomers.
Think about all the boomers who own a second home that they plan to retire to. As they enter their "golden years," they'll be looking to supplement their savings/fixed income by either selling their current homes or renting them out.
- Sales will certainly cut into home prices as they attempt to sell into a smaller generation.
- Too many rentals will flood the rental market and rents will drop. Those who can't get by on the lower income will sell.
It's already happening. Anyone in the SF bay area notice the glut of rentals lately? Buying a home right now is like loading up on dot-coms just before they busted. Wait.
Take a stand with your friends and family, too. I'm sure many of us here act as ad-hoc tech support for a good number of people. Tell them you won't be able to help them with a new Intel machine, and offer to help them select a more freedom-friendly machine when the time comes for their next upgrade.
I can't believe an Australian is so concerned about the oppressive American government. You may be right, but I think you've got a little work to do on the home front.
And after Linus was Mark Zuckerberg at #10; seems like CNN might not be the best arbiter of relevance in the world of tech.

The GPS unit in your phone or car only receives signals from the satellite, it's not a 2 way communication.

By that definition, wouldn't crystals be alive?
"Don't be fatuous, Jeffrey"
But what about the resale value? The Blue Book trade in value of a 99 Cougar is $4000, and an identically equipped Celica is $7,375.
Sorry. I just tried it with IE View and Mozilla 1.6, and the "open link in IE" option doesn't show up when right clicking on bookmarks in the sidebar.

Then you're not trying very hard. He's running for governor of California. Google News search

I think the words you're looking for are "come on". "Common" is a simile for "frequent".
I think the word you're looking for is "synonym". A "simile" is a comparision using like or as.

Ephedrine...And if you are really daring, try combining the above with a yohimbe tablet.
Anyone experimenting with herbal stimulants should read up on MAO inhibitors. The above combination is quite dangerous.I can't vouch for zurab's intelligence, but he probably understands the comment you're responding to, because he wrote it.
How about typing C:/Windows/System/DirectX in Explorer's address bar? No one said you have to point and click your way through Windows.
I think you missed the point of Hard_Code's post jeffy. He's making fun of you, and I almost felt sorry for you until you thanked him for it.
