Oh don't get me wrong... I wouldn't mind the better item... but I couldn't justify the extra cost (especially considering the Amazon gift cards and amazon points I had saved up). I'm happy with the Kindle.. it does what I need it to, and I generally buy e-books and music through Amazon, anyway. But, while the situation made sense for ME... it doesn't mean that for someone else, a different solution wouldn't be better.
That's ridiculous. YMMV, but I set a budget, saved up my money a little bit at a time, and bought what I could afford. Just because someone can't buy the best thing out there, it doesn't mean they should go without.
What it does mean, is that one should temper their expectations and not complain if their choice doesn't perform like the best thing out there.
If you've got the money, then by all means... the Nexus 10 has better specs... but if money isn't so easy to come by.. you buy what you can afford.. and then use nice articles like this to make your experience more enjoyable.

Does it matter at what altitude the wind speeds are measured? The buoys and measuring stations are at or near ground/sea level... while the aircraft are considerably higher. I remember a local forecaster stating that he was seeing 70mph winds less than a mile up near Raleigh.
Apparently you weren't paying attention. The Flying Spaghetti Monster put the bones out there for people to find, there weren't any dinosaurs as the world is only a few thousand years old!
I use the phone to make calls and send texts. I don't have a need for the added features of the "smart" phone, and can't justify the extra expense for the new toy or it's higher cost data plan.

Asked about concerns regarding oil leaks or pollution, [U.S. Coast Guard Petty Officer Bill] Colclough said "there are reports the rig was not actively producing any product, so we don't know if there's any risk of pollution."
I'd hardly give that a "No Oil"... I'd rather wait and see the facts... but "No Oil" sounds better, right?
In the mean time, they'll have to put out the fire, and tend to the 13 rig workers who went overboard.
I think hes talking about the OS/2 Warp versions.... version's 3 and 4.
There was a blue spine version 3 that included the windows code (red spine did not).
And then Warp 4 included the windows code. (I just installed v4 on an old omnibook 800ct just for giggles).

Just because I can't afford a $500 tablet, doesn't mean I can't afford a $300 one.
With new tablets coming out so frequently... I'm not so sure "future proofing" would get you very far.

I think it is less that "people" aren't interested in how things work, anymore, and more that nobody cares about amateur radio or clunky robots.
I guess that's why there are over 700k licensed amateur radio operators in the US alone.. and why the ranks have been increasing.
