I am an American living in Tanzania and although 3G is here (in certain major towns) buying any tablet with 3G from the US forces me to pick a telephone company so having a tablet with wifi + tethering my phone is a must. I'd be surprised if others wouldn't rather have an unlocked 3G option for international use.
I have two HP 2133 netbooks (120 gb HD version) and have Fedora 10 on one; Ubuntu 8.10 the other. Other than the VIA graphics (Chrome 9) not working out of the box, I've found Ubuntu to be the better of the two for installation and wifi support.
I am living in Tanzania East Africa and try as I might, getting computers free isn't such an easy task as it is in the US. I am trying to build a computer lab to teach classes in Linux, sys-admin, and basic programming freely for the community, but all I have so far is an empty building.
Of course this would come out not 1 month after I forked out over $2,500 for a mbp 2.16ghz... and of course apple won't let you upgrade anything you've already purchased.
Where considering I am currently living in Tanzania helping installing Linux servers for rural ISPs, after only 3 months I have seen 14 people die from Malaria. For these people, they live day to day and do not think of the future. So for them, using DDT as a right now treatment vs possible cancer many years from now, there is no debate.
One problem with this, there are a finite number of broadband adapters and just leaving a DC with one in an office is blowing a good chunk of ebay money. I've played with my DC (even made the serial cable to progam in it and got the gcc-sh) and would love to get my hands on an adapater so I can't see anyone doing this in reality.

They only mean that it topped the documentaries in box office.
Wasn't this already done before?
My older brother's work is declaring November 9th a vacation because more than half of their employees will be "taking a sick day" to play Halo 2.
He's refering to XFree86 (all one word; no spaces)
So, how long until SCO sues Microsoft for stolen code?
Am I the only one here who noticed it's in Arkansas? What else could they blame the death on?
ah, so only the comments are "stolen" but no actual code is.
Yeah, I got this working under Linux (until I ran out of money and had to sell it) I made a script that converted the data into PDF

When will we get keyboards that resemble Star Trek TNG LCARS?
Aparently it's a penis thing with Micro$oft.
Funny how www.xfree86.org mentions nothing regarding the release of 4.0...
perhaps they're hoping no one will think to try their ftp site...
