Hey, feel lucky that he told you he was there. I'm sure there are plenty of people out there that would have just raped your bandwidth until you found them.
I have 1G of RAM and no swap. Works great, even with IE, winamp, AIM, DC++, bittorrent, and other stuff open at once. Having 10 things open at once doesn't degrade performance under WinXP, either, with any respectable computer.
If you want a game like that, play co-op in pretty much any other FPS out there. The whole point of this is to be an overhead squad-based tactical action game.
Computer games in 2034 are likely to offer simulated worlds and interactive storytelling that's more engaging than linear presentations such as those in most movies today
Uh, don't computer games now have simulated worlds and interactive storytelling? Morrowind anyone?
Let's see, why could I POSSIBLY need to see your ID?
If I need some way for you to prove who you are (you're writing me a check, opening a bank account, etc) If you're trying to buy alcohol/cigs and you don't look old enough. If I find you dead on the street and need to know who you are so I can call your family. etc. etc.
There are LOTS of perfectly valid reasons that someone would need the information that's on your ID.
I'm sure he IS spending a significant amount of his own money on this, but even though he has boatloads of money, setting up an entire museum isn't exactly pocket change. I doubt he'd want to spend his entire fortune, especially considering the other things he has going.
Plus, people (and businesses!) like donating to museums and seeing their names on the little plaques they always have.
Exactly. I hate the elitest attitude toward music so many people have. Even though YOU may not like the latest pop star, there are obviously millions of people who do, otherwise they wouldn't be popular.
It could be simple enough as the recording industry finally lobbying enough to get the law passed. Just because they've been relaxed in the past doesn't mean they have to in the future.
I think he just used a poor choice of words. It doesn't seem like he's complaining about the Linux OS, it seems like he's complaining about the browser's OS, which just happens to be based on Linux.

Sounds a lot like what happens if you scratch a DVD or CD.
Hey! Geeks go outside! I mean, you need to get groceries... and go buy new tech... and sometimes you're just crazy enough to not buy them online.
And moving parts.
I can imagine all the pissed off people when their vaccuums start going at 12 midnight each day.
Actually, it gets 4294967296 times the postings. Crap.
And remember, the range is only good for 70m.

Considering how expensive meals in museum restaurants usually are, that 10% off will probably make the membership pay for itself after the first use.

Some people just don't seem to grasp that.
Can you play XBox Next games on a PC? ...
no check there!
I'm sure there are going to be PLENTY of XBox Next exclusive games which PC-only people will be drooling over.

"She said that she was going to see naked people being tortured by snakes..."
Oh, I know this.. um, 8th circle!

I emailed them and got no reply, despite the fact that allegedly they welcomed feedback from non-Windows users asking for clients for other platforms.
Hey, they just said that they welcomed feedback. They never said that they were going to actually reply to it.
Don't forget that the government also brought us NASA, which has given us all sorts of useful technologies.
