    Was it ever our money? Isn't this the basis of banking as a business since it was conceived? Banks borrow money from us at a low rate and loan it out to others at a higher rate. In the USA, the FDIC exists to give consumers confidence that deposits are guaranteed, to a certain $ amount, if the bank ever failed. If someone expects to get the same exact notes or bills deposited back from the bank they should be using a safe deposit box.

    They will delete your informaiton once it is determined that there is no legal reason to hold it. Unfortunately it will take another 18-24 months to determine if there is legal reason or not.

    According to my mechanic, now that muffler fluid and blinker fluid are the same, the cost to replace has come down at least 10%. He says they are still working on making cheaper muffler bearings however.

    This is simply one more step in the dance that will end with Yahoo! being purchased; either by MSFT or someone else. Once Microsoft put Yahoo! into play, the sharks started to circle. Carl Icahn's interest is simply because he sees a profit on the horizon. Yahoo! is as good as owned. This happens in the financial realm all the time, albiet rarely with two tech companies as well known as these.

    If the lighting companies of today don't release LEDs when they become cost efficient then there will be new lighting companies that will. Lighting companies don't own LED technology. Somebody will make big $$$ off this.

    Besides, lighting companies can continue to make replacement headlamps for my beater Pontiac.

    The liquid check is a huge time waste. If the TSA really thinks my 6oz bottle of shampoo is so dangerous why do they chuck it into a 50 gallon garbage can full of other bottles of "dangerous" liquid. Very competent handling of potential explosive/poisonous/dangerous material. I'm sure all of these confiscated bottles are analyzed by experts at a later date, right?

    Compare this to when someone reports a bag of garbage sitting on an overpass and the police close the road for hours so they can blow it up. Hasn't anyone told the police that there are garbage cans full of potential explosives sitting right at the security terminal?

    Luckily we have a strong case of voter apathy in America to keep the total number of ballots that need to be counted to a reasonable number. Now imagine if the US had compulsory voting like these countries.
