Slightly OT, I know, but just wait until these geniuses get a load of 4chan lulz.

Seriously, what that fuck kind of worthless information is this? Text messaging is a pretty effective as a medium for terrorists for much the same reason. Or ham radio. Or cell phones. All of these can provide quick, (mostly) anonymous communication in realtime. BFD. Saying Twitter could be used as a terrorist tool is like saying the sky is blue, the grass is green, and the sun will blind you if you stare at it too long. Thanks for the news flash, fellas. Somewhere right now, a little old grandma is scared to death of Twitter for no good reason. Hmmm....

And by the way, I don't know if anyone else feels the same way, but I have no idea what the definition of terrorist is anymore. The term is bandied around to blanket such an array of topics, that I feel it has lost its meaning akin to calling every person you know as "human" as opposed to calling them by their names.

The obviousness of the article's main point aside, I want these jokers to clearly define what they mean by 'terrorist'. There is a very big difference between 'Anti-American' and 'Anti-American-Government', for example.

Come to think of it, it kinda makes me wonder who we are fighting in the "War On Terror". Hmmmm...

There was NO evidence at the time to suggest who the perpetrators were, but by sunrise on 9/12 everybody seemed to KNOW it was Bin Laden. I think that's a little fishy, or at the very least indicative of the gullibility of the American people and the power of the suggestive media.

The decision to invade Iraq appears to have been unofficially made in 1997-1998 (or earlier) according to this letter to congress. Notice the signatory parties at the bottom. This Statement of Principles is apparently their mission statement.

The Republicans (or more accurately, those in the Bush family mafia) have been trying to take over Iraq nearly since the first conflict was over in 1991. They tried advising congress on this in the late 90's and failed. But all it took was one good reason for America to say yes, and they took advantage of that fact.

The real question is whether the Bush mafia made 9/11 happen or simply turned on the media spin machine afterwards to brainwash the American public into supporting the fucking mess we've gotten ourselves into since.

With all due respect, I don't believe that you understand what drives your region's 'normal' climate well enough to grok in what way Global Warming is purported to modify that climate.

Cue the "it GLOBAL warming, your region might not be warmer," I certainly expect that response. However, that response reminds me of people who state that Mars' northern icecap is shrinking and the common debunking Global Warming alarmists give for that is that the warming on Mars is just "regional."

That is non-sequitur. Mars' climate has a completely different dynamic that our own. Your anecdotal evidence is worthless because you offer nothing more than an observation "its colder here" and assert that this must logically invalidate Global Warming.

I am no climatologist, but you don't have to be one to understand, for example, that shifts in the Jet Stream can and do dramatically impact a given region's weather. That is 'normal'. Any occurrence that would provide sufficient feedback to the Jet Stream (such as polar ice melting) is going to change the weather patterns of all regions impacted by the Jet Stream. If you are in one of the spots where more dry arctic air gets 'pulled down', you will experience markedly cooler weather, despite the fact that the global temperature has increased.

In fact, if you area DOES experience those 4-5 years of unseasonably cold springs, it would go to further reinforce the Global Warming theory, not the opposite.

Well, I could just flip a coin and choose one, or I could offer the counter to you via blog or email to see what you have to say about it. Is THAT the definition of stupid we use these days?

Google doesn't make you stupid. You have to ALREADY be stupid to be fooled by misinformation if you aren't going to check facts. Google gives you many avenues in which to do that crucial step.

However, as you pointed out, that does require some level of critical thinking. I'd argue that google helps even those suffering a lack in that department.
